The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Mountain House Blueberry Cheesecake - 4 Servings:
The package comes with three inner packets: blueberries, cheesecake mix, grahm cracker crumbs.
You add two ounces of hot water to the blueberry mix. It mixes easy, reconsitutes well and tastes great. You have to have a separate bowl to mix the blueberries. Of course anything it touches is getting stained.
Next you use cool water to mix with the cheeseccake mix.The instructions tell you to put the chsck mix in the pouch then add the water. If you do this and do not mix VERY well you are likely to get clumps of unreconsituted chsck powder. I used a spoon to mix the chsck mix so maybe a spork or a fork would work better to mix it well. It seems more logical to add the water to the pouch first then slowly mix in the chsck mix.
After you let the chsck mix set up you sprinkle the grahm cracker "crust"(powder) over the top of the chsck. The grahm cracker crust if very fine and sticks well but is ground a little too finely IMO. It is also a little bland.
After the crust is sprinkled on you pour the blueberries on top and dig in.
I was surprised the layers stayed and did not all run together into a mush so it was easy to get a bite of each layer. I would like bigger grahm cracker pieces. Over all the flavor was great and hit the spot.

Comments about Mountain House Blueberry Cheesecake - 4 Servings:
I had serious reservations about freeze dried cheesecake. I mean, really, come on. How's that going to work?
Is it a piece of cheesecake? No. I don't think any sane person would imagine that it would be. That said, I was amazed at just how well the cheesecake setup. The texture was pretty amazing, especially after we put it in the cooler next to the ice. Of course, it wasn't really necessary, so if you're on the trail the "as built" method will work just fine.
I think you'll be amazed with it, too. It is pretty darned sweet, but all of the flavor of blueberry cheesecake is there. They use wild blueberries, too.
As for the caloric content, well, you can't make me look at the label.
Nice job, Mountain House!

I always take this along when i take newbies backpacking. They are always amazed that backpacking food can taste this good. I especially like how easy it is to clean up. If you eat out of the bag or even in your metal cup, it is a snap to clean up. Other deserts require a pot to dirty up.

Comments about Mountain House Blueberry Cheesecake - 4 Servings:
A very good dessert. Rehydrating the blueberries will most likely stain plastic/silicone bowls; good idea to bring a ziploc for the blueberries.
Contains 4 (small) servings, which is equal to 2 adults IMO.

Comments about Mountain House Blueberry Cheesecake - 4 Servings:
One of the Best deserts. Mtn. House is generally the best IMHO. This makes a great wrap up to a good day or if the day was not so good it makes an even better wrap up. Very easy to prepare and very tasty as is every Mountain House I have eaten (which is most if not all). It may be a bit on the sweet side for me to use every trip. but it is a desert so I guess sweet is kinda the point. Yummy try some.
