The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Rated4out of5byblunt fangfromgreat panniers!great product. easy to attach and detach from my rear rack. very waterproof. holds all my work clothes with plenty of extra room. Plan to use them on tours, don't foresee any problems so far.
Only issue is that the shoulder strap does not release from the clasp. I assume a minor manufacturing defect, but I don't plan to use the shoulder straps often.

Rated5out of5bySpencer HfromGreat PanniersThese Ortliebs are great. Fully waterproof, easy mounting system (once adjusted properly I can attach and remove them with one hand) The reflectors are very bright and the bags are spacious. The shoulder strap is useful, but not comfortable after 15 minutes. The inside pockets are a bit smaller than I'd like, but I use the bags for carrying large items and camping gear anyway, so that's not a real problem. I especially like the over the top strap because It can use it to secure other items to my rear rack as well. I don't think there are better waterproof panniers out there for this price.

Rated5out of5bymeifromBUY THESE!!!These bags rule!
I used to rock a backpack but got sick of having that thing on.
So, I got a trunk. it was ok but small and leaky, and it takes up your whole rack rendering it pretty much useless.
Ditched that thing and got these, i'm so happy!
They're HUGE!!! They are engineered well and waterproof!
I don't know what people are talking about "uncomfortable strap" mostly my bike carries my bags, and if not, i've got this handled, and "little pockets" plenty big enough for important stuff including CPU pockets.
I use a bag within bag system, I got bags for my patch stuff, accessories, travel kit, etc... you can even put one pannier in the other for trips to the store.
They can be over stuffed when needed...
did i mention I LOVE THESE BAGS?!?!
great price on sale!!
buy them now.

Rated5out of5bydharringtonfromI wish I had bought these from the startWhen I started bike commuting, I bought a cheap pair of panniers, figuring they were all pretty much the same. They finally wore out (broken zipper, splitting seams) and when the Ortlieb panniers went on sale, I thought I'd give them a try.
These are the ulitmate panniers. Everything about them is sturdy and well designed. The closure and adjustable hook system make them rock solid on my rack. The waterproof material keeps my things dry even in pouring rain, sleet or snow. And the amount of storage is amazing. The best thing about these, however, is how well built they are. I can't imagine having to replace them, ever.

Rated5out of5byCharlieBikecommuterfromThe real dealVery well designed and adjustable to clip on to any kind of rear rack. Completely waterproof and the shoulder straps make them convenient to carry off of the bike. Each bag has 2 organizer pockets, 1 mesh, one plastic with zippers. These are the first panniers I got with a roll-up top, and I like them a lot

Rated5out of5bySLOVicfromgreat touring bagsGot these in Oregon the day before beginning a three week tour on a recumbent. Used these bags with a mid-rack below the seat. They fit just fine, and I could get into them easily when they were on the bike. So easy to put on and take off. I found the carry straps were just fine for carrying them onto the train at the end of my tour. Not uncomfortable at all. I have yellow, and there's a side benefit: the insides are yellow also, and its easy to look in and see what is where. Don't think that would be so easy with a dark colored set. Love them.
