by fromFantastic! I bike and bus commute daily and bought these bags in preperation for the impending rain to keep my books and electronics dry year-round.I have used them for one week now and one of the features I like about it best are that it is a breeze to install and remove them. This feature is especially important to me for easy on/off the bus. I have not tested their waterproofability yet (probably tomorrow :-) They also have very nice bright reflective panels on both ends of the panniers. That brings me to another feature: The bags can be adjusted to be symmetrical so if I decide I only need one bike bag, my dad can use my other bag and still mount it on the preffered right side. It was simple install the bags initially and I didn't really need to read the text-less instructions. It is amazing how solid the mount is once you insert the correct sized spacers (8mm or 11mm). Also, I like the removable inner zippered mesh compartment as it doesn't add much weight or bulk but does provide a pocket to stow keys, small electronics, wallet, etc in while biking. The only cons I have so far are these: - The strap is extremely uncomfortable to wear when the bag is even moderately loaded due to the strap's narrowness and lack of sufficient padding. Also, the hard plastic lower rack mount catch is uncomfortable against my hip. I tried wearing one around for a couple days and gave up on it instead leaving a backpack at school to transfer my materials into. Not a big deal but its enough to lower the rating by a star since I was hoping to be able to use it as a waterproof satchel as advertised. I may try adding some extra padding to the strap. - This con is also related to the strap. It is not possible to both roll up the bag watertight and wear the strap simultaneously. This is because the buckles that are normally connected after rolling the top ~3 times are the same buckles that are used when the strap is connected in series with them. There is a buckle that goes over the top of the bag but that doesn't keep the top of the bag rolled up tighly enough that I would count on its waterproofability (although I haven't tested it.) Overall this is one of my favorite biking accessories and really made bike commuting more enjoyable.

by fromEasy on/off and perfect size Would be 5 stars if it had a flap top option so that you don't have to roll to close (for oversized stuff or when its not raining that hard); and if it had a handle/shoulder strap that wasn't connected to the very top (pulls funky when the bag is rolled closed). But, despite that, really great bags.

by fromUpgrade I started bike commuting daily after my ride-share buddy retired. I upgraded from a cheap pair of panniers, and after a little research bought these. So far they're great. They're spacious, weather proof, and so easy to get on and off.

by fromgreat panniers! great product. easy to attach and detach from my rear rack. very waterproof. holds all my work clothes with plenty of extra room. Plan to use them on tours, don't foresee any problems so far. Only issue is that the shoulder strap does not release from the clasp. I assume a minor manufacturing defect, but I don't plan to use the shoulder straps often.

by fromGreat commuter bags I had been looking for some time for good commuting panniers. I ride ~20 miles round trip a few times a week, need to bring work clothes and my lunch as well as the other things I need, and was tired of hauling all that on my back or in a basket. I wanted something tough and waterproof but that would also work ok as a day bag. After a lot of searching and trying to balance day bag functionality/style with carrying capacity, I went ahead and went with these and I am thrilled. Overall thoughts: 1) They carry a ton very easily - I can be carrying my stuff, stop at the grocery store on my way home, and still fit everything in one pannier. 2) They are, in a sporty/punky way, kind of stylish. 3) I wish the inside pocket was a little more easily accessible; I also wish there was some kind of key hook. As I use them more, this is getting easier. 4) As a day bag: the carrying strap is not super comfortable, but it's good enough, although the hardware (unsurprisingly) gets caught on my belt loops/messes with my clothes. This was a compromise I made after the lack of good large-size options, but it is a pain. 5) it is easier to get in/out of them while they're on the bike than I thought it might be and they feel secure - I don't mind riding with them slightly open, for example, if I know I need to get in/out for my water bottle quickly at lights. I have to use the adjusters for them to fit on my bike rack, and it does get in the way of the ease of putting them on the bike - I have to fidget them around to get the latch to close. They snap in in a way where they don't get lost but they don't stay in the correct position. Overall, though, they are better commuting bags than I worried they'd be, and I'm very pleased with their ease of use.

by fromexcellent design and superior quality I recently used these panniers on a month-long tour and was very pleased. They are easy to adjust for a precise fit to your rack, and the hooks near the top have a ingenious system that automatically locks and unlocks them to the rack as you lift or release the handle. The bags are also very easy to get things in and out of thanks to the wide mouth. The material is very durable and waterproof as advertised but a good spill can scruff the fabric enough compromise the waterproofing. However, my bags took a beating and are still waterproof for all intents and purposes. Compared to other panniers I've used, these were easily worth the little extra $.

by fromGood Panniers Used on a 2 week tour in Italy last summer with one day of heavy rain. The panniers (front and back)are very well made and attach and lock firmly to the bike but are also very quick and easy to remove. The bags are somewhat heavy due to the waterproof fabric. I am not totaly sold on the "one compartment" design which makes it harder to organize your gear and means you allways have to open the bag to get at stuff rather than just unzipping a side pocket to get at small often used items without even getting out of the saddle. Also, with traditional panniers you can stuff large items (tent/sleeping pad etc.)under the straps to increase carrying capacity and you can't do that with these panniers. The waterproof concept is OK but be aware that tough though these bags are it does not take much rubbing allong a rough surface (e.g. road or stone wall) to make a hole in them and then they are not waterproof and if none of your stuff sacs are waterproof (and why should they be since you payed a weight/price penalty to get waterproof panniers)you could be in trouble. I have patched the hole in mine and hopefully they will continue to work well. All in all these are fine panniers and will serve you well as long as you don't mind these limitations.

by fromOrlieb Rocks! All of their products are great and these bags are no exception. However, they really dropped the ball on the should strap design. I don't know what they were thinking about. They need to remove it or redesign it. It gets in the way and looks terrible.
