I was buying bargain hiking/hunting socks that didn't last long and soon began to fall down and bunch up. You know the story. I have been very happy these socks and i'm staying with this brand.

Comments about Thorlo CoolMax Light Hiker Socks:
I have seven pairs since 2000 and they've held up marvelously: an excellent value. The added support (in addit to your shoes own arch support) is an added plus. I've used them exclusely running. They were my only choice for my only marathon. They're the ideal running sock. They're also stylish - I get a lot of comments. Thanks Thorlo!

Comments about Thorlo CoolMax Light Hiker Socks:
These are great. There is no wool, Yea!!! They are the only ones I have found that are still thick, but not too thick, they hug your foot. They come in womens and mens sizes. I go between my snowmobile boots and shoes for work, during the day, and they are perfect. They are warm but not too warm and not too heavy. Can't wait to try them in my hikers 4 wheeling this Spring. I think they are all weather socks.

Comments about Thorlo CoolMax Light Hiker Socks:
I tested these socks on my recent trip to Yosemite for the half-dome hike. The hike itself was pretty dry so wet shoes/socks wasn't a problem. Here are the benefits for those who are interested:
-Thick, durable socks to keep you warm
-Fits pretty well
-blister free feet
-Did what it had advertised.
However, after returning from the hike and changing into something more comfortable, I found that my feet were a little moist. The wicking can be better improved but again it was hardly noticeable and it didn't hindrance any performance throughout the whole entire hiking trip. In fact, I didn't notice that my feet were moist until I removed the socks. Explore away adventurers!

I love these socks. I have to wear steel toe boots at work and these work for me winter and summer and they do hold up well.

Comments about Thorlo CoolMax Light Hiker Socks:
Had several pair for two years. They are sturdy, good fit and comfortable. I cannot wear any socks with wool due to skin irritations. These are great in all seasons. For heavier hiking I use the padded thorlos.
Cons: After wearing all day they start to itch a bit, but that may be my particular skin sensitivity. I switched to another brand and do not have the same problem.

Comments about Thorlo CoolMax Light Hiker Socks:
I like the padding in Thorlo socks, but was having trouble getting a good fit -- not too big, not too small. These fit like a glove yet don't feel cramped -- very comfortable.
