I guess most people don't read the booklet. This link was posted very prominently in mine. It's an extensive list of exercises for the Grip Master produced by the manufacturer. Each exercise is explained in detail from form to application.[@] says to hold each position for 5 seconds or so, but I've found that 20 provides much better results.As for my experience with the product, I practice Krav Maga (google it), and the medium & high tension versions have benefited me greatly. My grip closes faster and more strongly than it used to. Makes it much easier to defend against a gun or knife among many other things (in training obviously), and reduces the likelihood of said knife/gun/object slipping out of my grasp.Obviously stronger/more coordinated grip has mucho applications to, well.. life. Everything from climbing to Frisbee to Piano/instrument technique can be improved by this product if used properly.

This was my 1st finger training device I purchased and it still works like a charm. I am sure the springs are being less restive each time I use it but the change is hardly noticeable. The black grip can be moved to either side of the device exposing either a flat bar where all of you fingers will depress this bar, or a key side where each finger has its own key to depress.

This is a great device for intro level climbers to build up so muscles quickly (or slowly if you want to). So may find this to be pricey but I think it is still worth it.

I tried the high resistance strengthener and could completely compress all of the digits right out of the box. You achieve burn out after about 50-75 consecutive compressions. The bottom line is that there are better hand strengtheners out there for less money.

I love this product. It's small enough to fit in your pocket, yet not too small to not achieve a good workout. You can use it whenever you have nothing else to do and still get your hands strong. If you go on the website, prohands.net, they have a list of what exercises to do with it for many different sports and that means that you can really focus your workout. You can also exercise just certain parts of your hand and get your whole hand strong. It's really easy to use, but I would go with red, or medium tension (not light, as the picture shows) unless you have really strong hands. That way even if it is too easy for you you can just do more reps, which they recommend anyway.

I got this in the hope that it would help me get a stronger grip. I think it has worked so far but I wish I went with the heavy tension. I don't know if it is the way I grip it but the finger area some times hurts and is uncomfortable. But it is a good product and easy to carry around. I have actually used it at school to pass time.
