Well Made but Tangles severely!!!

As far as the build quality of this rope, it withstands the roughest sandstone without fraying. I've used Sterling rope for rappelling over rough sandstone with fray marks up and down the rope. The PMI E-Z Bend rope on the other hand, not a fray mark on it. The only down side I have with this rope is that it tangles beyond belief. Extremely frustrating!!! Esspecially when your dealing with 250 feet plus of rope. I use a rope tarp and coil all my rope in these rope tarps for storage, but that doesn't seem to make a bit of difference with the tangling problam with this rope. Once it gets tangled badly, you can forget about getting the tangles completely out. I don't think I will be buying this rope again for this reason. I will stick with Sterling Static.

Way too stiff!

Bought this rope for tree climbing and use mostly simple knots(figure 8 and bowline). Performs well in those applications. Friction burns are minimal. However, I am unable to tie more complex knots and use them safely due to the stiffness of the rope. The rope will not bend around itself with full contact. Have tied at least 200 knots in the ends, and it hasn’t softened up...

Great rope, resists wear and tear

This is a great static rope, I have had it for 3 years now. I use this for rappelling. Its has stood up to all the rubbing on rock edges, and has been a really great asset. I plan on purchasing another one when the time comes. It is really easy to tie knots with which makes it a big plus.

Solid rope for my pulley system

I am using this for my slackline pulley system. I am into bomber gear— and this is just my kind of rope. I could buy the cheaper, smaller diameter rope, but i'm looking for a rope that's going to last and a rope that's going to be pretty bomber. So I bought this one. So far, after a few months of weekly use, it's still in a great condition. A little dirty (because I don't treat it with the respect it deserves), but I trust it completely and will continue to trust it for highlines in the future. I've also seen this rope used in many professional situations from the filming of the Planet Earth series to National Geographic caving exploration videos, tree climbing, etc. This is the industry standard for bomber static rope. If you're looking to be 100% safe and have no fear of the strength and reliability of a line, this is your line.

Military

I have used this rope for Military Rappel safety lines. I love that REI sells it by the foot, I don't have to cut up a long line, I get exactly the lengths I need. Only used it a few times, but there are no signs of frey or ends pushing out.

Amazing Rope

I've used this rope for over 20 years and I would not trust any other, unless it's a PMI for any of my outdoor activities, from climbing to rescue, mountaineering, caving, recreational rope access techniques.

Not easy to tie.

I bought 60 feet from my local store for setting up top rope climbs. EZ bend is only a marketing term. This rope is way too stiff, like a steel cable, difficult to tie, and difficult to tighten. A number of friends were also duped by the product name. Go with another brand like Blue water II static, or sterling super safe static.

Great Rope!

I used this rope for many tough rappels as well as the assents following. the rope did not fray except on the sharpest rocks (i should have protected it) and i really would have expected most roped to be cut by the rock, yet this one just frayed.. no big deal. this is one of the best static ropes i have used!

As advertised

Bought this a month and only has a handful of usage on it. I use it for natural anchors- around trees and boulders. Works just as you'd expect. Buy it off the spool to the length of your liking rather.
