Made with a wide opening for use with rope, the Screw Link is a compact, lightweight alternative to carabiners for semi-permanent attachments.

  • Constructed of 7mm cadmium steel for a breaking strength of 5,500 pounds
  • Design to handle multi-directional loads as might be found in rescue situations
  • Recommended as a lighter and less expensive attachment device for Petzl ascenders or main anchor points
  • Links are marked with a Normal Working Load, (NWL), which is about 1/5 of their strength
  • Please Note: Petzl products can only be shipped to US addresses

I think everyone should have at least one bail biner on there harness. Better than loosing a [$] quickdraw on an outdoor wall, and can also be used to suppliment chain anchors.

It gets the job done. Don't for get to bring a 12mm wrench! If you over tighten the nut it can develop burs, so don't crank it down.
