The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about MagLite Solitaire Key Ring Flashlight:
If Maglite would update this to LED, it would truly be the perfect light in its class. I've carried one in my pocket for years. The AAA battery means it is easy to find replacements. The adjustable beam is more than handy. It even does the 'candle' trick it's larger 2-AA model is known for (remove the lens and light still shines - handy in a tent).
I recently had a few problems and sent it in to Maglite out of curiosity. They went above and beyond - repaired it and returned it for free within a couple of weeks. Turns out the malfunction was my fault.
When it wasn't working I bought another AAA light. While brighter (it was an LED) was heavier, bulkier and has not been nearly as dependable.
Maglite! Make this an LED!!!

Comments about MagLite Solitaire Key Ring Flashlight:
With the advent of LED's, it is not the brightest beam you can find, but what it does with a single AAA battery is very respectable.
It's best attribute is it's durability. I have lost them (they are small), but I have never broken one. Even sent 1 thru the wash, with no problem.
I have an LED headlamp, but I find that I still like having a Solitaire with me, like to find things in the tent, read a book, spot a racoon in the woods, etc.
I have 1 in the truck too, just in case.

Comments about MagLite Solitaire Key Ring Flashlight:
I wish they would update this flashlight to LED. The form factor, AAA standard battery, brightness, and lanyard are attractive. It doesn't have a place in my pack though, because it burns the battery too fast.
Years ago, I used this flashlight to teach my little boy how to swim underwater. He was shy about getting his face wet and diving deep. So I hooked a float to it, just to make it sink slowly.
With the light on in the water, the little guy would chase it like a fish after a worm. It took away all his fear and I'll always be grateful for that. Now he's taller than me, and a stronger swimmer. -sigh-

Comments about MagLite Solitaire Key Ring Flashlight:
I have two of these flashlights. One is better than the other- I do not why. The bulb lasts a long time and I have never had to change one. It is very compact and light, and the beam focus works very well.

Comments about MagLite Solitaire Key Ring Flashlight:
This light barely puts out any light, and the beam has poor quality, the bulb burns out quickly, and battery life if laughable. Do yourself a favor, and get a good LED light. A good LED will put out FAR more light, with a better beam, and run much longer on a battery. It will cost you more, but will be well worth it. Look into ITP EOS A3.[...]
