Comments about Nite Ize Patterned Light Holder:
If you have a high quality light, and don't want to add extra bulk to your pack, then this is the accessory for you. The velcro strap allows for a wide range of head sizes, and the elastic retention band keeps your light intact.
The biggest problem is that you can't rotate the light to adjust where it points (higher or lower), but this is remedied by wearing the headband higher or lower on the back of your head.

Comments about Nite Ize Patterned Light Holder:
I had bought this about 1/2 year before I purchased a Black Diamond Headlamp. There is nothing special about this item, and the attachment point for the flashlight has no adjustability.
If you can't afford a headlamp, then this is the cheapest alternative for for those seeking "hands free" use. I use this when working under the car. For camping it is ok, as in fair.
The band has no elastic, so an imperfect fit will be immediately felt. And it might rotate on you also.
A headlamp is a thousand times better than this. For working on the car, this is better than getting my Black Diamond dirty/greasy. For hiking, especially, and camping, secondarily, I would urge you to save your money and do it right by buying a headlamp the first time.

Comments about Nite Ize Patterned Light Holder:
Not quite as comfortable as a headlamp, but provides a suitable alternative if you don't want to carry a separate flashlight.

I've used this for years when painting crown mouldings and other detailed areas when more light on the work area is desired. Of course it is also helpful when rustling through the backpack at night.

Comments about Nite Ize Patterned Light Holder:
Velcro strap that you wear around your head, put your own skinny flashlight in it. Like a headlamp, but only shines in whatever direction you point your head. Well worth the [$]. We used it a lot for nighttime food prep or gear arranging, and I wish we had an additional one so I could use it whenever I wanted.
