Comments about MagLite 4-D Cell Flashlight:
I've had my Mag Lite now for nearly ten years and it has been through everything you can imagine, and some things that you can't. I believe it to be the best flashlight for the money, and out lasts and outshines flashlights that cost many times more. I have dropped my light numerous times in water, mud, snow, you name it all without effecting it one bit. One time it got ran over by a pickup truck and came out unscathed. Mine has also been used on occasion as an improvised hammer although I don't recommend it for that purpose. Easily the most durable flashlight I have ever owned. Highly recommended.

The best flashlight ever, if you don't call yourself an ultralighter. If you are it might be as heavy as your pack it self.

Comments about MagLite 4-D Cell Flashlight:
I have Had My Mag Light Flash Light For About A Year. But My Father has owned this same style of Mag for almost 18 years! Very durable and extra bulbs come in handy. Only Con is that it is somewhat heavy and long. So for those light hikers perhaps check out the mini-mag.

Comments about MagLite 4-D Cell Flashlight:
Bright, durable, no-nonsense flashlight. It isn't lightweight by any means, and doesn't have any microprocessor-controlled circuitry or utilize ultra-modern lithium batteries, but it's waterproof, practically indestructible, has a long battery life and can light up the whole countryside. Maybe not the best for ultra-light backpacking, but definitely worth the weight in my opinion. It's a great value, easily out-shining torches that cost 4 times as much.

Comments about MagLite 4-D Cell Flashlight:
Now my friends told me not to bring this heavy lug with me camping on account of its weight. But when our fire startes dropped in the river and it started to rain I just took out the batteries and put the only matches we had in the handle. This thing is not only a great flashlight but you can put a survival kit in it if things go bad. You can be sure that your kit will survive to because this things made out of some heavy duty metal.

Comments about MagLite 4-D Cell Flashlight:
Has been a great multi-purpose light for the past 6 years. It resides in the house for handy access in power outages, looking behind the fridge, or going under the house. It also goes with us when we walk the dog at night or go camping. The light is bright and the beam is adjustible. Has worked great as have the other sizes of maglites that we own.
