by fromNot comfortable; too small Was not at all impressed by the set-up, comfort nor size of this cot. I am 6' @ 140 lbs, but this cot is just way too small to get a comfortable night’s sleep on. Would rather sleep on the ground/floor than on this cot. Also was unimpressed by the tautness adjustment. The only good thing i can say about this cot is it’s lightweight and compact. I would rather carry a heavier military style cot and have some comfort, or just sleep on the ground, because the weight of this cot is not worth the poor comfort it provides.

by fromIt does the job, but.... takes some practice to set it up and take it down and it's definitely not "intuitive". Also, the feet of the legs are round with hard rubber caps and one of them made a short rip in our tent floor (granted, I had been setting more on one end and the cot moves slightly when you get up; using the round furniture slides solves this problem). I've only used it 6-7 times so can't speak to it's durability, but it does sag a little even when the tension is adjusted to its tightest (and to be expected where there are no middle support legs plus I weigh 220# and the weight limit is listed at 250#). However, it is very light and compact and easy to store. Bottom line is that it's good quality and reasonably comfortable.

by fromExcellent value! Not only do I use it camping - which I do monthly - but it comes in real handy when I have friends over! Mine does not have the side pouches, which I think would be very handy!

by fromQuick and comfortable Once you've set it up for the first time, it takes a matter of minutes to break down and set up again. It's simple. You can adjust the bed tension via wingnuts on each leg. The stiffer you want it, the more difficult the wingnuts are to twist. You may need pliers to twist them further but I didn't feel the need to. Hand tightening was good enough for me. Although weighing in at 20lbs isn't light, it's lighter than many cots out there. Even the REI cot was 30lbs. Put a sleeping pad on this and it's even more comfortable. No squeaking when moving around in this cot is a plus.

by fromExcellent for summer spare bed Use: I use this to sleep downstairs in the summer with a cotton sleep sack. Good features: The mesh bottom lets the fan blow cool air all around me, so it is even cooler than sleeping on a mat on the floor. In the winter, you'd probably want to add a sleeping pad underneath to buffer the cold air. I'm only 5'1"/110 lb, so I don't bother with the tensioning wingnuts. They look like the feature most likely to annoy. The cot has a gentle dip, but I actually find that more comfortable than sleeping on a board-like surface. The velcro set-up is ingenious and easy on the hands. Warnings: If you sleep in a sleeping bag or a sleep sack, beware the cot flip--I think this would happen with any cot that has legs positioned in from the ends--the first morning, I wasn't quite awake when i wriggled up out of my sleeping bag (instead of unzipping), and I was up at the very tip top of the cot, so it tipped up and dumped me and the cat onto our rumps. All in all, I think it is worth it not to have those cross-bars at the ends to bump head and heels against. I keep it assembled all summer (just tipped up against the wall) except when company comes over, so I can't predict how it would hold up to a daily reassembly.

by fromLightweight and comfortable cot I own two of these and use them for car camping. I purchased them several years ago and definitely am happy with the purchase. I deducted one star because they take a little while to set-up. After a long drive to camp, I would be much happier if they simply unfolded (i have a Byer cot that is much much simpler to set-up, but that cot is heavier and takes up more weight/space in my Skybox). In order to tension, I have to keep a pair of pliers in one of the bags because it is virtually impossible to turn with your fingers. I've also noticed after several years of use, the screws are being cut by the tubes.. will be only a matter of time before they sheer off and need to be replaced.

by fromComfortable Easy to set up after you figure it out the first time. Comfortable, but too narrow. Returned it and bought the Wide model.

by fromVERY COMFORTABLE! We've used these for extra beds for family reunions, company, motels. Very comfortable. Once we rented an 11 bedroom lodge for family reunion - after assigning the bedrooms my husband and I used the cots out on the deck under the stars - wonderful! When our grandchildren visit we have comfortable beds. Now I give them for Christmas to our various families.
