Comments about Wigwam Gobi Liners:
I took two pair of Gobis on a 210 KM hike through the Sierras and was very disappointed. While I had worn each pair a couple times before departure I never expected to wear them out so that by the end of the trip they were useless. While I did not intend to bring them, I found a pair of Patagonia liners in the bottom of my sleeping bag and they saved the day.
Let me express, I'm no lightweight. I'm about 92 kg and I was carrying a 11 kg pack (with bear keg, water, at the food drop), but I still think it was reasonable to expect the Gobis to make it through the trip.
One last point; the Gobi liners work really well as long as they last. They just do not last.

Comments about Wigwam Gobi Liners:
I was disappointed in these sock liners. They were too big, I had to turn them inside out, because the toe seam rubbed, and after going down a steep trail, I felt like I was getting blisters. The bottom of my feet hurt for the first time ever. I'm returning them.

Comments about Wigwam Gobi Liners:
I am a newbie and just beginning to hike a lot. I have worn these liner socks with SmartWool socks and leather Vazquez boots in temperatures from 10 degrees to 85 degrees (including 8 hrs in airports). I have been perfectly comfortable! The only reason I give them a 4 instead of a 5 is that I am afraid to machine wash/dry them - they are polyester and I'm confident they would melt. Since I handwash/dry much of my exercise stuff, this is no big deal to me.

Comments about Wigwam Gobi Liners:
These are really great Liners. No hot spots at all on my feet. Be aware of sizing. I wear a 10.5 - 11 shoe, and the Medium Sock (sizes 5 -9.5) fits perfect.

Comments about Wigwam Gobi Liners:
Great sock.
Pros: Wicks amazingly well.
Smooth feel.
Makes feet dry and therefore warm.
Dries quickly.
Cons: Sizing is off/ Go with smaller size for snug
fit.
Strange seem, doesn't bother me but others
might be putt off.
Elastic is kinda loose. Might bunch up if
top sock has trouble staying up.
Stinks quickly.
Almost the perfect sock. Tighter elastic on top, correct sizing, and some silver nano would make it perfect. Oh well. Regardless just ordered my 3rd pair.

Comments about Wigwam Gobi Liners:
Just wanted to say that these seem to be perfectly good socks, but only if you can remember that they don't go in the dryer. They "were" the only pair I had that was so unforgiving that the first slip up destroyed them, but it did. On low (delicate) heat that I use for everything but towels and other heavyweight cottons they literally melted--big holes melted. I have plenty of items I line dry, but for some reason socks didn't register, so don't forget--you'll be sorry.

Comments about Wigwam Gobi Liners:
My husband and I both ordered these sock liners and when we tried them on in our respective sizes, they seemed a bit big and had a tall seam across the toes that felt uncomfortable. Will be returning them.
Service and delivery comments:
Came faster than expected (arrived a whole week earlier than original estimate.)

Comments about Wigwam Gobi Liners:
Only a little to add to already glowing recommendations: these are my favorite liners, inside any sock, in any weather under any load.
Last year I conducted a few months of empirical testing on available liner socks in preparation for a long summer backpacking trip. I tested a range of brands (REI, Wigwam, others), materials (CoolMax, Silk, Polypro) and of course prices. I then brought the winners on the backpacking trip and beat them up. The Gobi emerged victorious.
My only complaint is that my tent-mate called dibs on blue liners, so I had to get the white ones. For my money (and feet) you can't do better.

Comments about Wigwam Gobi Liners:
Got my first pair about 20 years ago. Still have them. Have purchased over 2 dozen pairs over the years and wear them EVERY day under my wool socks. Finally wore a small hole in one sock last month.

Comments about Wigwam Gobi Liners:
Of all of the assorted more expensive liner socks available, I've found the inexpensive Gobis to be the best for blister prevention on the trail. Their thin, smooth surface allows them to slide easily against a wool outer sock, instead of sticking to the wool outer and rubbing against your foot. These tend to stick to your foot, protecting it and doing a better job of wicking moisture away. The Large for a mens size 12 foot (top end of the stated range) fit well, but I expect they feel large for feet on the lower end of the size range.
