First time disappointed in shoes

Comfortable sole but they don't last 4 months of normal walking around the city and they start to crack on the sides these black stripes and bad gluing of the sole comes out in the absence of glue on the sides you can see holes noses in the front are peeling off it's a pity that I fell for these YouTube videos 400 NIS thrown in the trash now I have to look for glue to glue the shoes together in the front and add glue to the sides. I do not recommend. The company doesn't mean much these days, I'm already very disappointed.

Questionable quality

I received these shoes almost two months ago and the first thing I noticed was the construction. The upper is full mesh with what appears to be plastic or vinyl adhered to it - think “iron on”. I should have immediately returned them but decided to give them a try anyway. First I will say that they are comfortable and supportive. However after having them this short time, my concerns were warranted. The “iron on” portion of the upper is already separating and peeling. I have only worn these casually and not under any condition that would stress them (no hiking). As I said, I should have returned them. Do yourself a favor - save you money and frustration and keep shopping. Sadly these are no better than discount store quality. Not recommended.

Falling apart

Very disappointed with this shoe. I only had it for 3 months and it started to fall apart. Never had this problem with Merrell before. I hope that this was just an isolated case.

Update Previous Review March 2024 ~ 6-months later

I wanted to love these Merrell Edge as the Look/Style is great! My previous review talked about the synthetics squeaking as you walk. Well that resolved itself over time. It took about two months of 5-days-a-week (work shoes) before the noisy shoes stopped being noisy! BUT here we are August 2024 just 6-months since buying these shoes and they are already tearing and shredding at fold points. I'll go back to the good ol' Moab 3's as they are sturdier and typically last me 15-18 months of weekly wear before they start to fall apart.

The uppers are cracking after less than a month.

I ordered these after a string of many many Merrell shoes that have each lasted multiple years... but the uppers are cracking and peeling after about 4 weeks of wearing on these. The synthetic material is disappointing — and placed upon a vibram soul that is a 10/10 and cannot be worn out. Lovely comfortable breathable 10/10 shoe other than the fact it is falling apart — cracking/delaminating.

Falling apart in multiple areas after 1.5 months!

I bought these the first week of January, after wearing them twice a week max they are already falling apart! I’ve owned at least 10 different pairs of Merrell shoes (most of them Moab) and these are the fist…(and worst) to be falling apart after so little time. After looking at reviews here I see this is a common occurrence. I hope Merrell will address the issues people are having.

Gym shoes

These are great gym shoes for my liking while keeping with style. Shoestrings are right not too thin, and I put a little cushion in them for added comfort. They have good support and traction which is a plus in my book.

Side wall cracks.

The side wall material cracked within the first week of daily wear. I normally prefer the leather sides and these are a disappointment. Comfortable, but not rugged like I expected.
