I was so excited for these boots. I read dozens of positive reviews before I purchased them. I broke then in for about a week and decided to take them on a short four mile hike. They were very comfortable at first. Then, I noticed my right heel getting hot. I ended up with the largest blister I've ever had. I regularly walk through a creek and the moment I step in it the right boot filled with water. I have never had a pair of boots underperform the way these did. Extremely disappointing for $360 boots. However, they are cushioned under your feet, yet they feel very sturdy and durable.
These boots have been wonderful. Do daily hikes/walks with my dog. Anywhere from 1 to 2 miles a day. Through the muddy falls of mn and into the winters they have been great. Comfortable from day 1 with LOTS of support. Fairly stiff
First hike I used these on, my toes got wet on both feet, both boots leak water by the front of the laces at the base of the tongue, also extremely stiff and had blisters on both heels after only two or three miles... Really wanted to like these boots, they're light, they look awesome, but i will be returning them.
Well constructed boot with great comfort and support from the ankle to toes. The fit is perfect, size 13. Been wearing these despite having a broken metatarsal and still getting around, would definitely recommend to a friend!
Breaks in fast, super light with a stiff durable bottom. Comfortable
I day hike quite a bit (about 2000 miles/year) and wear out a pair of boots each year. For the last 15 years I have been buying Zamberlan boots, and these are the most comfortable I have had yet. I hike all year around, on wet and snowy trails, and have had no troubles with water leaking in. My longest day hike this year was 26 miles, and I had no blisters or hot spots on the hike. Overall, a great experience -- I just bought a new pair.
