Exterior covering does not hold up to routine travel...I

I travel extensively for work and have for more than 30 years. I purchased the Transporter 65 last year and each of the three overseas trips I have taken with it, there have been new abraded spots in the covering and twice accompanied by small tears. I normally expect to get 5 years or more out of a travel bag. This one clearly is not up to the rigors of baggage handlers.... Also, the lack of a shoulder strap is an oversight on the part of the designers...

A must for the ACTIVE traveler

Vacationing in the outdoors can post challenges to packing, especially when there are multiple activities involved. Being an avid hiker and mountain biker I need bags that hold up and can fit my gear - enter the Osprey Transporter series. My oldest T65 is about 7 years old and still going strong. I purchased a newer version about 3 years ago for my wife and acquired a 3rd this year for my daughter. Again, our vacations require simple gear storage that's portable and that's what you get with these packs. Hauling from campsite to campsite is easy and when on the road the Transporter can be slung over the shoulders for transport from car to hotel. Best luggage I've bought to date.

Great to Use When you Can't Use a Rolling Bag

There are many places where a rolling bag doesn't make sense, bumpy pavement, cobble stone streets, no streets to roll a bag. This is very helpful. Used it for my Italy trip from the airport to the hotel locations. Used a smaller backpack for my day trips. If you need to haul alot of stuff to/from your transportation facility to your hotel, this is great.

Packs great, not comfortable to carry.

This duffel packs well and you can carry a lot, however, I found it extremely uncomfortable to use as a backpack. When packed, it can be quite heavy to carry as a duffel. The material is great, but I would not recommend it and would return it if I could. I used it on a 5 week camino trip.

I’m in the middle of

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m in the middle of my third trip with this bag since purchasing it and it is a great travel bag. Kind of like Goldilocks story, it’s the perfect size, not too big or too small. The shoulder straps were great, are comfortable and pack away easily. The main compartment zipper door stays open when wanted and makes it easy to search for gear in the bag. Go get yours.

perfect size and super tough

I have used this bag so many times, but it stood out during two international mission trips I've gone on. Both were about a week long, and this bag was the perfect size for everything I needed and some extras. It's still in amazing condition after two years of use, and it seems as though it will last forever.

I bought it as a check in luggage bag for my flight. The capacity is amazing that I could put lots of things. I was worried that there might be some scratches on it after being through the flight as it was new, eventually it was not scratched and remained like a new one. Very durable and useful

Awesome Duffel

Just what I was looking for! Fits everything I need and the material is really easy to clean after traveling around. Definitely recommend adding the travel shoulder strap too.

Osprey 65 L transporter

The bag has a good size and capacity for carry-on. Able to load more than what it appears. The only complaint is the straps should be more padded.
