Temperature ratings are intended as a guideline to help you compare products, rather than a guarantee of warmth, since many different factors contribute to your comfort while you sleep. Backpacking bags are typically rated for temperature according to an independent testing protocol—currently International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 23537, though some older items followed European Norm (EN) 13537. Testing is based on a person wearing one base layer and a pair of socks, sleeping on an insulated surface with a minimum R-value of 5.38.

Each bag then gets 2 ratings: the Comfort rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "cold sleeper" comfortable, and the Lower Limit rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "warm sleeper" comfortable. Some brands determine their own temperature rating by aligning to the Comfort rating for women’s bags, to the Lower Limit rating for men’s bags, or somewhere in the middle for nongendered bags.

Super easy to pack down

This is the first sleeping bag i've bought that isn't from Costco or Walmart. It's been great the times I've used it. Ive camped in it when the lows get down to the 40s and I was honestly toasty inside of it (I was wearing thermal long sleeves). It's got enough wiggle room that I don't feel like I'm being constricted while also small enough to keep the warmth in. It's super easy to squish into my pack and takes like two seconds to pack. I'm using it soon to go on a four day backpacking trip in the mountains where the lows are supposed to be between 25-30. I'm stoked for this bag and am very glad I bought it

super cute & comfy- dries quickly

Bought this for a two night camping trip, in order to get to the site i kayaked out, some of my group canoed out, one took a motor boat with our stuff. One of the canoes tipped, and in the process of getting them out of the water and into the motor boat that was holding our packs, the bag got wet. My sleeping bag dried so much quicker than others. It wasnt waterlogged, but the bottom had a decent amount of water in it. In terms of comfort it was very comfy, i was able to bring my legs up inside it even. Im a fairly small person and flexible so if you have longer legs i wouldnt expect to be able to do this, but it was very nice. It was also a lot easier to get into the sleeping bag pouch again than i thought it would be

Love this sleeping bag!

I used this sleeping bag while camping with most of the night being in the low 30s, even dipping to the 20s at some point. I normally sleep cold and wanted to test my sleeping set up to see what my limits could be as far as cold weather camping was. I started off with a fleece liner and end up getting hot, so I slept with just the sleeping bag and my base layers on the remainder of the night and was very toasty. Having a good sleeping pad certainly helped, but I was impressed with how this sleeping bag preformed in colder temps. It’s not as roomy as some sleeping bags I’ve had before, but that aspect didn’t bother me much as I know it helped keep me warm. Honestly, I couldn’t recommend this sleeping bag enough!

Stayed Warm

Wow! I was so nervous to buy a bag because I was afraid I would be cold (im a cold sleeper) but this was great! I went camping late November in Nothern Michigan, off of the lake of Michigan. I woke up to wind once, and snow the other, and was warm both nights! I actually woke up hot and had to take my hat off! The temperature got to about 34 degrees and the only other thing in the bag with me was my jacket near my feet. Great bag and cute color!

Comfortable, warm, but loses a ton of feathers

Just bought this last week and took it on a 6 day trip immediately. It was plenty warm (low 40s overnight) very cozy, and I really enjoyed using it until I got out of bed the first morning and realized I was *covered* in feathers. Had to return it, sadly.

It was perfect for summer camping. Personally I’m not going to go camping in the snow, so this was perfect for keeping me warm at night in the summer.
