What Power Outage?

Power went out at my house for 6 days due to a huge wind storm. I was able to keep fridge running, fans going, sound machine on (for 3 month old), computers & phones charged and wifi on for the duration- I did end up needing to get some solar panels to keep the Goal Zero charged up for that long but I was stoked with how well it worked. Took it on an RV trip a few weeks later and ran my whole RV as well.

Don’t buy goal zero until they fix the charging

Fool me once. Bought a 500x in March, and it stopped accepting a charge from the wall charger after a few months. It still accepts a charge from usb-c, which is annoying, but still workable. Fool me twice, bought a 3000x, and out of the box suffers the exact problem. Could not be more frustrated. Don’t buy!!!

Fantastic Product

I bought this a month ago and it's the third unit I've purchased. I have a yeti 150, a yeti 1500x and now my 3000x. I Bluetooth both the 1500 and 3000 to my cell phone. I can say goal zero knows technology. Best product ever!

We Power Our Off-grid Home with 3 Yetis

We use two 1500s and one 3000. We even have our very efficient fridge plugged into one and our Starlink WiFi. We don’t keep WiFi on when we leave the house or aren’t using it. In the winter due to many cloudy days we unplug the fridge and turn it into an ice chest. Would be nice to be about to charge multiple batteries to one solar bank. As it is we plug one battery into the other to charge them both. It would be nice to have a solar charging cord that is 70 feet.

Use at our off grid camp

Bought this 2 years ago to power our small off grid camp (we do not live there full time). It is great for weekends! We plug it into the camp and it powers our lights and large dorm fridge for a few days without recharging it. We also use it to recharge batteries for cordless drills, battery powered chainsaws and the 12v battery for our shower water pump. Hasn’t let us down yet! We have plugged power tools into it and even run a well pump off it. The case solar panel does take a long time to recharge the unit, especially here in the northeast where our sun isn’t as strong as other parts of the country. But overall we are very happy with this unit!

Battery for Days, Powerful Inverter

Bought this for bi-annual remote MTB trips but my first use came with a power outage at home. Powered a 65" plasma t.v., router, fridge and kitchen lights for 12 hrs (with 48% to spare). Pumped to try this off grid but blown away with our initial usage.

Nice for van use, short life

Good integrated design at 3 kWhr energy capability. WiFi connection works well. Downsides are slow charing "230W: 14 Hours" with included charger and the very short battery life: "Lifecycles: 500 Cycles to 80% capacity". Purchased using the 20% off REI offering, and would not pay full price for it.

Not UL ot ETL listed

This is an update to previous review. Purchased Mar 20, 2021. After using for 3 months, we realized that this unit does not carry a UL or ETL safety certification. Using it in anyway connected to a home's electrical system violates the National Electric Code. You cannot use it for work as it violates OSHA regulations, which require only "listed" equipment. I called and verified with GoalZero customer service. I cannot recommend anyone get portable power product that does not carry a UL, ETL, or similar safety compliance listing. The FCC and CE labels are not safety certifications.

The perfect System to backup my home.

This system is the best for backing up your home as well the flexibility to take on the backwoods trip when off the grid. Had it installed by a licensed professional electrician and now I'm ready for those summer storms that may come, with peace of mind.

Quality Construction and Performance

Wanted quiet, reliable power. This product is great. Quality construction and performance. Digital readouts show exactly what the unit is doing for charging and power generation. The wheels make it much easier to move around. Bluetooth connectivity for operation and monitoring is very convenient. Bought this for the quality of power output. Others not using lithium ion batteries do not produce good quality power. We will use this with confidence knowing anything we plug in will not be damaged for poor power outputs.
