Eno nailed it on the comfort of this chair and on the adjustable height. The chair actually feels like you are sitting in a hammock, the comfort rocks! Love that I can snap the legs out of the way and sit in it at ~3” off the ground. It puts me at nearly the same level as all my friends with their Alite Monarch or Mayfly chairs (the 2017, 2018, & 2019 Eno Lounger is more comfortable than the Alite chairs). Having everyone else sitting low and you sitting up high makes you feel like you aren’t part of the group and if you’re playing cards it downright sucks. And, if I’m with a group of people with taller chairs I can slide the legs in and sit ~10” high. While a little bit lower than many other chairs it gets me close enough for many instances. The padded arms are also great, they definitely add to the comfort. So, why didn’t I give the 2017 / 2018 / 2019 Eno Lounger 5 stars, and why did I refer to it as a “First Revision”. 1) While all the other quality manufacturers have used high quality durable mesh in their chairs, Eno still hasn't done that in their chair. Down here in the SouthWest where it is already in the mid 90 degree range the fabric reduces breathability significantly over mesh, making you sweat, and the comfortable high back just adds to the heat build-up as your back begins sweating. This severe design flaw will effect anyone who plans on using this where the temperature gets above 85 if there is any humidity. It’s advisable to wait for the next revision to come out that is sure to incorporate mesh into the chair (fingers crossed). I should note that Eno placed three small holes where the center of your butt goes in the seat and despite friends joking that they were designed for people eating a lot of beans while camping I am sure they are designed to allow water drainage when it rains because otherwise a chair with this seat design left in the rain would trap and hold water. The holes offer no breathability to speak of. 2) The cup holder was an afterthought in the 2017 & 2018 models and if you put a can in it, the can will hang at a near 65 degree angle. Essentially you’ll lose the top half of any beer you place in the cup holder. Sadly from the product photos above it appears no improvement was made on the 2019 models. 3) The ability to clip the legs out of the way and sit at the lower position was great out of the box thinking (Congrats Eno, you raised the bar for all the chair manufacturers), but for anyone in the Southwest setting their chair on everything other than grass, soft dirt, or sand, I can only imagine the leg mounts will end up quickly torn up by decomposed granite and other rock prevalent here. Small nubs to replace the legs and protect the leg mounts will hopefully come. Again, this is the most comfortable chair around but sadly I would still recommend holding off on purchasing till, at minimum, the mesh is added to the seat. If Eno followed in Alite’s footsteps and offered a reasonably priced (~$40) replacement seat sling (fabric portions) I would say it’s worth buying now knowing you will most likely want to replace the fabric seat sling with a mesh seat sling as soon as it was available.

Comfortable, convenient , perfect for hikes (maybe

This chair is super comfortable for me (5’7 180lbs) and personally I don’t find it hard to set up or disassemble. I’d say it takes ~3 minutes the first or second time to setup / disassemble, but after you use it a couple times it should really only take you about a minute or even less. I find that this chair is light and is packable enough for a day hike. It’s satisfying after hiking and finding a nice spot, you just whip this chair out and can enjoy the views in comfort. While It’s by no means ultralight, if you can handle the weight or aren’t hiking too long, this chair is perfect.

Gigantic disappointment

Bought two of these in October 2024. Both had bent tubing which I noticed after a few uses. We were on an extended road trip so I didn't have the luxury of returning them. We used them as is until they simply were impossible to assemble. One of them failed completely. I own two others that I purchased on 2017. I bought new as the old ones are faded and showing some signs of wear and tear. I should have stuck with the old. I'm assuming that the frame tubing has changed.

It's a chair but feels like a hammock!

I have never fathomed spending so much money on a single chair before but I am glad I did! I bring this chair everywhere with me and even sit in it in my living room. It is like I am sitting in a hammock, very comfortable! The only gripe I have, and its small, is that the cup holder doesn't have structure to it so my drink has some serious lean to it. The addition of a footrest would make this chair a 6 star chair!

Simple set up and comfortable

This chair is cool, alot of people ask about it. Im 170 lbs and feel it wobbles very little ...isnt sturdy but is very fair is why i decided to keep it.The chair is very strong and ENO has good products. Is good for gaming on my laptop because of the arm rests which got me to buy it over the much much more sturdy chair they had and glad i did,i like the weight of it also.Feels like a nice fit as im 6 foot tall.

The best.

I have owned several camp chairs. Note -- I'm not a backpacker, so I'm talking backyard BBQs, festivals and car camping. This is by far my favorite. Sometimes I get some stares as I wrangle all the poles into place, but it's not actually as difficult to set up as some people have said. It's a worth-it trade off to get it in the small travel bag. The 'lounger' shape is so, so comfy .. it keeps you upright enough to engage, but leaned back enough to take a nap if you want. The pillow is just the icing on top. I especially love that if I want take it to the beach, I can snap in the bottom legs so it sits lower to the ground. GENIUS. It's a bit of a splurge for a camp chair, but I highly recommend treating yourself to this one.

Comfortable

I find this chair to be both comfortable and very easy to set up and take down. If you’re concerned about reviews that say setup is difficult, I’d suggest trying it yourself in the store. The frame tubes are all connected by elastic shock cords, so just stick each tube into the nearest fitting, and it’s no problem at all. There’s plenty of room in the carry bag, so to take it down, just pull out all the tubes from their fittings and roll them up in the fabric part. It fits in the bag nicely. This chair was $50 less than the Big Agnes I was also considering, and I’m glad I went with the Eno.

So Comfy but...

This is an all around great chair. Comfortable and easy to spend hours in it around a fire or at a music festival. My only gripe is setup and tear down....a little clunky (understandably). I won't knock it because the purpose of the chair is to sit in it and be comfortable, which is second to none. Just be prepared to give it a few minutes setting up and tearing down. I got sick of doing it at Summer Camp Music Festival and would just carry it around already set up. Thankfully, it's very light and easy to do so. Eno makes quality products and I was glad to support them. Love this chair!

Very Comfortable Chair

I spent an hour and a half in REI trying every chair they had. This chair beat them all. Yes, it’s pricey, but in my experience with camp chairs you get what you pay for. So yeah, I have high expectations for this chair being over the 100 bills mark. I used it the first day I owned it at an outdoor concert and it worked great. I added an REI stool/footrest that goes perfect with the chair to recline and kick back. Assembly of the chair frame can be a little cumbersome, but nothing difficult. All the tubes fit easily where they’re supposed to. The chair fabric attaches at four points without any struggle. The integrated cup holder will just barely fit a Nalgene 32oz bottle. The pillow is very comfortable. It was the deal-sealer for me. You can nap on this chair it’s that comfortable, and a large part of that is the pillow. I’m 6’2”-ish and my head hits the pillow just right. The arm rests are not “traditional” in size and style. You might look at them and say “there are no armrests.” You’d be wrong. Disassembly and stowage is easy. It all rolls together nice and fits easily in its bag. The overall weight of the whole package is nothing compared to other camp chairs. I don’t know if you’d backpack with this chair—you probably could as the size is manageable. The hyper-lighters out there won’t like it. But the comfort is worth the small weight.

Great product for the beach

This chair took a little bit of puzzling the first time I set it up but the second time was easy. I have an Eno Hammock chair which is still in great shape after four years of weekly use. That is why I decided on this Eno Lounger. I love the fact that I can lay my head back. I have used both leg positions and the lower one is really close to the ground and the lounger feels like a recliner on the beach with the legs in the lowest position. The cup holder easily holds my water bottle. It took a couple of uses before figuring out how to repack the chair. Hint: Lay the collapsed frame across the wide bottom of the chair fabric and roll the frame up in the chair fabric. It can then be slid into the bag quite easily.
