I’ve been hiking some pretty rugged terrain and long trails in Alaska with these boots and have been very satisfied. These boots broke in with just a couple short hikes and have never given me any blisters. They are real comfortable and the traction is super grippy. Also, they look great!
Very happy with this boot. Iv hiked several 1/2 day hikes in them. Best of both worlds, supportive like a hiker boot & comfortable like a tennis shoe. I am also a runner so sometimes I have an urge to take off on a jog while hiking. This boot did not hinder my random running spurts at all. Climbed up a steep rocky slope near the summit, very minimal slips on my up & again down in this boot. My feet stay very dry & very warm. Perfect for cold seasons. Maybe a bit too warm on some hotter days. Try with a light weight sock on hot days. I typically wear a size 9 in most shoes. These fit great in a 9. My toes had plenty of room to spread out, while I still felt supported with out sliding around.
SUPER comfy. They felt like they’d already been broken in for me, or like I’d owned them for months and they had already conformed to *my* feet. They’re lightweight and the leather feels durable/high quality. I also love the slightly retro yet versatile style; they’re appropriate for a hike, as well as for wearing with skinny jeans for city-slickin’ and dog walking. They’re now my go-to “hiking sneakers”! LOVE.
I got these boots in a 6 ( I’m a 6 in most slippers and sandals) and although I was a bit worried they were going to be small, that wasn’t the case. They are extremely comfortable, no breaking in needed, easy to put on and take off. I used them for regular trails inside the Olympic Peninsula, Washington, and they performed great. They’re also very warm. I love the perfect balance between style and comfort, and them being sturdy and light weight at the same time. In terms of size, if I were to do more strenuous hikes, on rocks and uneven footing, I would size up to 6 1/2 to avoid rubbing and blisters. I highly recommend them!
I love these boots! They are really good looking boots and super comfortable. My first time wearing them was on a muddy Oregon Coast Trail and my feet stayed dry and cozy the whole time! Plus they kept me from slipping and sliding all over the place. There was no break in period even really needed for me, just super easy to walk in from the very start. I would say they maybe run slightly big, but a nice cushy pair of socks made them perfect for me. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who wants a comfortable, versatile, lightweight and comfortable hiking boot!
My family does a ton of hiking here in Colorado, this is my favorite hiking/trail shoe by far! I have wide feet and haven’t had any issues with pinching. I also do my 40lb rucking in these shoes, there’s so much support and cushion that I feel like there’s mini pillows inside.
I was looking for something that would provide stability and comfort on casual hikes 1-3 times per week, and I also wanted something that would be lightweight and at least moderately stylish. My regular gym shoes just weren't cutting it on the trails anymore. These boots are perfect for me. There was no break in period and they don't feel heavy or clumsy. I love how generous the toe box is; my feet never feel constrained or pinched (I have a medium-wide foot). If you're a day hiker looking for a stylish, lightweight boot, these are a solid choice. I can't recommend them enough.
I am loving these hiking boots! I was worried they wouldn’t be wide enough because I have wide feet but these accommodate my wide feet great and are true to size with a medium thickness wool sock. I normally wear a size 8 in most shoes but sometimes (especially for boots) I size up to 8.5 but not with these. It took about one 6 mile hike to break these in and now they are so comfortable I sometimes wear them out just walking. I’m not a crazy long hiker just 4-8 mile day hikes but these are perfect for me. I wish the laces were a bit more sturdy so I will probably replace those soon.
I bought these for a multi-day backpacking trip. I was excited for a waterproof leather boot for my hiking excursions. When I got them, I wanted to try them out a few weeks before, so I went on a 4-mile mid to high incline hike. Halfway up, my feet started burning. The sides felt way too narrow, and they also caused a ton of blistering on my heel. I kept trying to adjust the width of the laces, but nothing helped. By the end of the hike, I was limping to the car. I’m not sure if I should have sized up, but the website said it fit true to size. I wanted these to work so badly, but they ended up screwing my feet up for my backpacking trip. I would not recommend these for people with wider feet.
These boots are amazing. I bought them for a trip and didn't break them in. During their first day they hiked 8 hours in Zion, including the Narrows. They were comfortable and sturdy. The waterproof aspect is great, I was able to hike 5 hours in a river with no problems and no blisters. They dried overnight and I could use them the next day. They also did great on rock scrambles, lots of grip and durability. I would definitely recommend these boots!
