I definitely recommend buying it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is perfect for traveling, a very resistant material and good quality comes with different types of grip shapes. Good space and meets the carry on dimensions for airplanes. I love the color.

I definitely recommend buying it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use it to travel and load my suitcase quickly and easily instead of dragging on wheels. It is also perfect to go camping or hiking due to the hardness of the material.

I would most definitely buy this again & recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had 3 different bags (not Northface), & all 3 fell apart within a few months. The Base Camp Duffel is the best made, looking, toughest, bag I've ever had. The stitching & zippers are heavy duty, the zippers come together and are lockable. I like that it only has 1 compartment on the inside & 1 on the outside, it's a true duffel bag. I use it every day as a gym bag. I recently went on a trip to San Diego & was able to pack everything I needed for a 6 day trip. If your thinking about buying this bag stop thinking about it & get it. It's worth every penny. My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner. Get it, u won't regret it.

PERFECT CARRY-ON AND DAY-PACK

I got this bag for a trip to Greece and am beyond pleased with it. Not only did it fit into each of our airplanes' overhead storage bins (even on the smaller plane), it also worked well for a daypack and, coincidentally, fit perfectly over the handlebars of an ATV. The zippered pocket made for great, accessible phone and passport storage; the compression straps are easy to tighten and loosen and do a great job helping everything in the pack feel tight and secure; and the backpack straps are comfortable. Re: a previous review, the black bag now has a black interior. I'm already planning on getting the extra small, too.

This bag will self destruct after a few years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved this bag and used it for years, but one day the outer coating just fell apart. I contacted customer service and they said that this is expected after many years of use.

Great bag, small zipper design issue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bag is very rugged and well made. It's a simple design that is very practical. The only flaw is the zipper design. Specifically, it's the pull tab that needs a small design. When pulling to open, it works great. Not so much when closing. This is because the pull tab doesn't have enough of a gap to clear the huge "crown" created in front of the slider body because of the pad lock holes. This creates a fulcrum and the pull tab does not go past 45 degrees or so instead of parallel to the zipper, which causes the zipper to make an S as you open and it doesn't work as efficiently. Makes it finicky to open, but is fine once you figure it out and open it carefully.

I would buy again

I love this bag. It's very stylish and durable. I wasnt too sure about the size at first but definitely a good choice. When I traveled I packed everything in a hiking backpack and needed something a little more stylish and modern than can do both. I dont know if I'd recommend for long treks or hikes in the woods though, the shoulder straps feel like they would dig in and no waist band to allow to hold the weight. I mainly use it for family travels to the hotel. I purchased the Small and it holds alot. ONLY thing I would change on the bag is to add a zipper to the front as well, I love having smaller pockets on the bags.

I would buy this product again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the new XL base camp bag. I wanted to order the black but inside color is the same as outside so it makes it difficult to find items. I went with the red which is a great color. I use to own the older version of this bag and one of the main differences I miss on the new one is the backpack straps on the old one were stitched with nylon strap the whole distance corner to corner. The new one is has the nylon strap attached at top and bottom only and under heavy load the shoulder straps curl and become narrow where in old version since strap went corner to corner stitched the whole way over shoulder padding it distributes weight better and feels much more sturdy. All in all still a great product.

two-in-one duffle or backpack

Simple words this is exactly what I was looking for a duffel bag that can also be used as a backpack because I find that a duffel bag I'm able to fit more stuff to go on a 3-day trip for 5 day trip it's allowed me to fit some Vibrams or Converse sneakers

The perfect travel bag/carry on

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was on the fence between the base camp M and the 30" rolling thunder... so glad I went with the base camp. Tons of space, carry on, and the side straps help shrink it down when needed. Buy this!
