Rated5out of5byCloud gazerfromMy new go to!I bought these because they were on sale and were a flat dark shoe with a toe. I ordered 1/2 a size down because there isn't a strap and that was a good decision. They looked much better than I expected when I first put them on. I liked that they were roomy but the heel didn't slide up and down. I LIKED that the toes are free to curl up a bit. I wore them without socks and I worried a bit about the lack of cushion I felt when I walked quickly on hard surfaces. Later I realized I was walking lighter to avoid this--without even thinking about it. This is a good thing!! Time will tell about odors--so far so good. (Less than a week) This is the first fall I have chosen shoes over hiking sandals! I love these shoes!!

Rated5out of5byLVJJfromStylish ComfortI love these shoes. They are so comfortable, yet stylish. They are great for travel. Mine have been through many airports and points beyond. They are lightweight for packing. I have put a lot of miles on these shoes and they are none the worse for wear. Definitely recommend. They do not provide arch support, though.

Rated4out of5byluckyducky1805fromI love theseI was surprised these had such bad reviews. I have wide feet and these are not tight on me. I love them. I put in the arch support because I have high arches, but besides that they are great. I can wiggle my toes (I have "foot claustrophobia", but I would suggest you get these a half size larger.

Rated2out of5byJenfnpfromI love Merrell shoes, but....I love Merrell shoes and I know the size that fits me like a glove. That's why I was excited to buy this attractive shoe. However, as the other review states, the fit is uncomfortable. Toes feel cramped and rounded upward. Love the look of this shoe. Can't imagine who could wear them for more than an hour without pain.

Rated2out of5bykma277fromweird fitI have to say first that I exchanged these for the Merrell Wonder Glove, which I love. It's a much better fit and barefoot feel, I think because of the softer sole and stretchier fabric of the upper.
These shoes fit strangely. The toes curl upward and the sole is stiff enough that it's still trying to curl when you're wearing it. The ball of the foot is also sort of narrow and pinch-y (I do have wide feet, but isn't the point of barefoot shoes to not impinge on the toes?). Again I think this may be because the wool fabric does not have enough give.
I gave them two stars because they're nice looking, which is hard to find in barefoot shoes. Like all Merrells, these seem to run a half size big - - I'm a 10 in most everything else but a 9.5 across the board in Merrell shoes.
I would also just like to mention that the anti-microbial footbed is not the same as anti-odor; closed toe shoes worn barefoot get smelly fast!

Rated4out of5bybananitafromComfyI bought these because I was looking for an everyday minimal shoe that mimics barefoot walking but is a bit more versatile than only wearing running shoes. And I love them! They are minimal so don't expect a cushy shoe but I find them lightweight and great for around town or traveling. They are a bit roomy width-wise but I don't wear socks and have a pretty narrow foot. Full price seems a bit much but on sale they are well worth the money!
