    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Bushnell SolarWrap Mini 100 Solar Power Charger is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good charger, Poor solar capabilities Charged this unit via USB. Resulting charge was able to charge my iPhone 4S to 100% from dead. Charged this unit via the solar panel. Kept it outside for 16 hours in total sun from dawn to dusk. Resulting charge only went up to 43% from dead, before it died. Charged it sitting on my window sill behind the window for 3 days. Resulting charge was up to 27% before it died. Bottom line, it will hold a charge to fully recharge your smart phone from dead IF the battery is charge from the USB. The capability of the solar panel to charge the battery enough to bring a smart phone back from the grave is sorely lacking. Size wise, it will work as a back up. But as a survival or backcountry tool, I am still looking for something better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Non-solar charger Bought this for an upcoming backpacking trip to keep my phone charged up. Started off charging it from a computer USB port, as recommended. It charged the internal battery in 3-4 hours, then charged my near dead iPhone in about 2.5 hours. The next day I tried leaving it in the sun all day, although it was a mostly cloudy day, so sunlight was limited, although the red light indicating it was charging was on. Tried charging my phone that night and it only raised the battery up 25%. Tried charging a full day outside in better sun the next day, then plugged in my phone - didn't even get a charge at all this time. Bottom line, charge up the unit from your computer or wall plug and it will work fine, but this is sorely lacking as a solar charger. Can't complain too much, at $60, it's considerably less than other chargers on the market.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wish this was a better product I am planning a thru hike on the john muir trail (25 days) and wanted something to keep my camera and phone charged with minimal usage on the phone... I am very weight sensitive and wanted a light weight option.. it certainly is light weight but that comes with sacrifice. After a full wall charge it only charged my cell phone from dead to about 60%. It will probably fully charge a small battery type phone, such as a flip phone, but if you have a smart phone this thing doesn't do the trick. Also, when tested outside in direct florida sun, it took over 10 hours to fully charge. I just bought the 400 variety of this thing, it should work... i hope. its 3x the weight though. Still way better than the other options out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says it will do I recently travelled to Washington (state of) where I got to see the big REI store...impressive and a must see if you are out that way. I didn't see a place to rate the store so I put it here. While out there, I needed portable power for the trip. I have bought one before and used it when I'm hiking, but have been frustrated with false claims from another brand which I would rate a "zero." So far, the Bushnell Outdoors SolarWrap does what it says it will do. It says Lightweight and Compact... sure enough, it only says about 3 oz on my kitchen food scale and is small enough that I can put it any number of pockets of my pack. What I didn't think of until I tried it was to clip it on my pack and gather solar while I hiked. Hardly felt it there and all the weight is in the bottom (see photo) so it didn't swing around or cause any issues. What makes the most sense for this item since it says it takes 10 hrs in the sun to charge from dead to full (only took me about 8 hours in the sun, btw) is to pre-charge the battery from your cell phone wall charger and have a full charge ready for use, then top it off with solar as needed. I took it from a full charge and plugged in my Galaxy S4 and got it to charge from 7% to 92%, not a full charge but really close to one and my phone has a bigger battery then I've ever had. It says it takes about 4 hours to charge from a wall outlet. Maybe I didn't drain it all the way when I tested it but only took me about 3 1/2 hours until the green light showed. I'm very impressed with the things it will do for the money, so much so that I bought a few more to give as gifts. I'm a reasonably tough grader so the downside I would give is the endcaps don't attach and could get lost. They aren't essential and I figured out they probably designed it that way cuz the endcaps fit when either rolled up or rolled out. So, I give it a 5 since I really can't knock that one flaw which might not actually be one. Happy hiking!
