    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated5out of5byfromGame Changer Shoe for all Running...Just bought this shoe with my REI Dividends and I have never been so satisfied. Makes running a pleasure, this shoe is so well built, comfortable and the ride is insanely smooth. Hoka One One knows what they are doing with running shoes and how to make the latest high-tech material work for runners. Love these shoes best I have ever owned. Also, thx REI for shipping them out so fast great service!

Rated5out of5byfromReally great productHave used this shoe for 100 mile Superior Sawtooth, which is mostly up and down and rock, the tuscobia 75, which involves pulling a pulk through varying degrees of snow covered trail and the Dead Zone 75 of the Ice Bowl ultra which also involves pulling a pulk over the snow and ice covered bay of Green Bay. I have to say that they have held up wonderfully and I count down the minutes until I switch into them ( I only use them for 26-34 stretches). The pounding they took in the Sawtooth was impressive and I rarely get blisters on the plantar aspect of my foot. Best shoe I have ever worn. Especially for trails as the added pounding you experience from rocks and roots are negated by the cushioning.

Rated5out of5byfromGreat on all terrain...Wow. I'm a fan. I run over very mixed terrain that includes dirt trails, rocks and sand (beach). I agree with all the positive comments about cushion and feel. I would add that I also found them great on sand. I don't know if it's just the extra width or also the cusion, but I really felt much lighter. When I got home, I noticed that the tread was completely clean, unlike my other trail shoes that tend to hold sand and mud. Awesome design and craftsmanship that really carries through to execution.

Rated1out of5byfromIgnore the hype. Don't waste your $$Had high hopes for these shoes. Developed an Achilles issue within the first 30 minutes of running with them (I'm a regular runner and have never had this problem). Trail stability with these shoes is awful. Terrible for rocky or loose terrain. This shoe runs very narrow, especially for the high profile of the shoe. I hate returning anything to REI after I use it but these shoes are definitely going back. If only Montrail would just start making the Hardrock again.

Rated4out of5byfromServed its PurposeI bought these shoes to help with plantar fasciitis / heel spur. The cushioning works great to relieve the pain from heal striking. My symptoms have improved dramatically. Have been wearing them on trail with ice/snow/mud mix and the traction is very good. The lacing system could be improved somewhat. When tightening, it mostly pulls the lace at the top of the shoe. You have to use your hand to pull the lower part of the lace tight. Overall, a very nice shoe.

Rated5out of5byfromI will buy these again...This is a really great shoe for me. I've held off buying the Hoka One One because of stability concerns. After trying them, thoughts turned to wondering why I waited so long. They are light, tremendous at lowering impact and really great on the downhill segments of the trail. My legs feel much better during heavy running weeks. I have tried them on a range of surfaces including mud, rocks, sand and road with no problems. The traction is as good as shoes get in rain, snow and sun. The speed laces were dumped after the first week, but this is a personal preference. The additional control of hand lacing gives me a more consistent fit. The fit is yummy for me, I can't wait to put them on when going for a nasty trail run or just a blast along the road. Not sure how durable they will be. I have about 125 mi on mine so far. Little pricy...

Rated3out of5byfromJury is still outThe first pair started to fall apart after 11 miles of moderate use. After 30 miles, the soles had detached from the front of the shoe and the gray material on the bottom of the shoe was highly worn. The toes were really tight on long downhills. They were half a size smaller than I expected. I returned them, for another duplicate pair after one week. There were no half sizes available. My 2nd pair is more durable, but after a 50 K on relatively non technical terrain, I had significant pain in my forefoot, equal or worse than my Cascadias with 300 miles of use. The main benefit of these shoes so far is that you can run over rough, rocky terrain without worrying about precise foot placement because the sole is so wide and thick you dont feel the sharp edges. I will give them a month of fair use and draw my final conclusion. So far they are OK, but for the price.... Not sure.
