Worst pair of Hokas I’ve ever had. After 6 months of totally normal light use (no trail running, mostly dog walking) they’re nearing end of life. I used to run a pair of Hokas for a year or more before they got to retirement age. Why??? Cheaper materials I guess. I’ll probably switch back to Altra Lone Peaks again, but I think their quality has gone downhill as well.
I wanted to try a different style of Hoka trail shoe hoping it would fit differently than the narrow Speedgoat 5 & 6. Unfortunately, these were even more narrow. I keep trying to support Hoka. I run their Clifton's in a wide which fit great. For some reason the trail shoes have changed.
After 6 months, design by the sole started peeling off. Sent it back to Hoka but they returned it back saying it’s not covered by warranty. They claimed damage was due to “wear & tear”. I didn’t even use this a lot. How can you believe Hoka’s claim on quality workmanship? Shame on their warranty!!!!
The Torrent 4 represents my long-sought fever dream come true: stability of the Stinson with the agility and traction of the Speedgoat. It's perfect for the rough and rugged PHX Mountain Park trails!
At first, they appeared to be smaller, but they were just fine. I am even thinking about getting another pair.
Bought these as a daily wearing shoe. Very comfortable and light.
