The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Rated5out of5byInupiat1fromWider footbed.I have an "E" width, so it can be difficult to find shoes that fit well without special ordering my exact size of 12.5E. The size 13 fit perfectly, enough room in the forefoot. These shoes have great traction and I have only lost my footing going down steep slopes in thick mud or wet snow going around curves at high speed. Almost any shoe would have that problem in those circumstances. I have worn them for every run in the last 3 months and put over 100 miles on them and they remain comfortable. My feet do not overheat in these shoes as they have in Gore-Tex boots, so they seem very breathable. They have held up well catching the top of the toe where the sole is melded to the mesh and have survived a bad hurdling attempt where the end of a broken branch struck the top of my arch. I had severe pain and swelling, but the shoes were not pierced. Last thing, when I started running in these, I weighed 217 pounds, now down to 200 pounds and the mid-sole still provides cushioning. I will definitely purchase another pair when the mid-sole wears out!

Rated5out of5bycrashtestREIdummyfromafter 4 years still going strongbought these from REI when they were first introduced In 2010. I have the older colors blue and grey but still holding up. I wear them mainly to the gym and around town as they got quite comfortable like slippers. It took about 3 weeks to break them in. They are gore tex so if you step in a puddle your sock won't get wet but your Nike's will! I get complements on the style of them, and the traction is good for trail running, lightweight in the summer. I wear them year round, tread is still holding up after everyday use! Laces are good too!

Rated5out of5byJay-LofromGreat backpacking shoe!I used to be a diehard Solomon fan but their latest shoes just did not fit right. Figured I'd spring for a lased shoe this time around. Not disappointed. Living in the Pacific Northwest I need a waterproof shoe for just about every hike I'm on. These are perfect. Lightweight, grippy sole and waterproof all the way up to the top of the shoe. Filling water bottles from the lakes, walking in marshy lands or crossing the occasional river, my last worry is getting my feet wet. These shoes are very lightweight and make hiking a breeze. They are sized just about where I'd expect them to be. Slipped in a custom insole and took off. No blisters, even right out of the box.

Rated5out of5byWhitney MikefromGreat trail running shoesI purchased these shoes, as I use trail runners for both day hikes and multi-day backpack trips in the Sierra's. Just got back from a three-day trip along the Whitney trail using these shoes. They are quite comfortable and offer the needed support when carrying a 45 pound backpack. Whitney has lots of granite and uneven areas to walk over, and the shoes gave great traction, even through the snow. I will be purchasing another pair of these shoes for a walking tour of Sicily that I will be doing this fall with my wife.

Rated5out of5byTrail Ultrarunnerfromexcellent for muddy & wet trailsI used these half of last winter, and they held up great. Despite the high grip tread pattern, it has barely worn down (I estimate I put over 200 miles on them). Note that I only run with these on trails during the winter, not roads. Might wear faster if I ran roads of dry, hard packed trail, but the point of getting these is to wear them in wet weather.) I also took them to Tahoe a couple of times as my shoes to walk around when out of ski or snowboarding boots. I don't really mind getting my feet wet, but not if I am running for more than a couple of hours, and it's nice to not have to rinse out my socks a gazillion times to get the mud out of them.

Rated4out of5bydmcarolanfromSo far, so good. These shoes feel very light weight. I have noticed the traction is pretty good even in snow/ice conditions. They will slip a little bit in slushy ice and black ice, but I have yet to use a rubber soled shoe that doesn't. So far the Gore-tex has kept my feet dry. I alternate between using the insoles with thinner socks and not using the insoles with thicker, wool socks. I have wide feet and normally wear size EE. My big toes just very slightly push over the edge of the toe box, but so slightly that I just had to give these shoes a go. Given that, they accommodate my wide feet surprisingly well. I am worried they will wear out quicker than previous trail-runners I have purchased because they are so light, but we'll see. Enjoying them greatly right now!
