The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about La Sportiva Wildcat 2.0 GTX Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
I purchased these shoes, as I use trail runners for both day hikes and multi-day backpack trips in the Sierra's. Just got back from a three-day trip along the Whitney trail using these shoes. They are quite comfortable and offer the needed support when carrying a 45 pound backpack. Whitney has lots of granite and uneven areas to walk over, and the shoes gave great traction, even through the snow. I will be purchasing another pair of these shoes for a walking tour of Sicily that I will be doing this fall with my wife.

Comments about La Sportiva Wildcat 2.0 GTX Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
I used these half of last winter, and they held up great. Despite the high grip tread pattern, it has barely worn down (I estimate I put over 200 miles on them). Note that I only run with these on trails during the winter, not roads. Might wear faster if I ran roads of dry, hard packed trail, but the point of getting these is to wear them in wet weather.) I also took them to Tahoe a couple of times as my shoes to walk around when out of ski or snowboarding boots. I don't really mind getting my feet wet, but not if I am running for more than a couple of hours, and it's nice to not have to rinse out my socks a gazillion times to get the mud out of them.

Comments about La Sportiva Wildcat 2.0 GTX Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:
These shoes feel very light weight. I have noticed the traction is pretty good even in snow/ice conditions. They will slip a little bit in slushy ice and black ice, but I have yet to use a rubber soled shoe that doesn't. So far the Gore-tex has kept my feet dry. I alternate between using the insoles with thinner socks and not using the insoles with thicker, wool socks. I have wide feet and normally wear size EE. My big toes just very slightly push over the edge of the toe box, but so slightly that I just had to give these shoes a go. Given that, they accommodate my wide feet surprisingly well. I am worried they will wear out quicker than previous trail-runners I have purchased because they are so light, but we'll see. Enjoying them greatly right now!
