Rated5out of5byMarried to an Outdoorsy PersonfromAB-so-LUTE-ly LOVE!!!!Originally got sidetracked looking for a water shoe, these cute black and pink shoes were on sale and screamed my name. Because, after all, who doesn't go to a functional store to purchase based on color like me? :) I broke these bad boys in on a 10+ mi hike "the bridge to no where" and was really shocked at how well they did allowing me to shimmy on the rocks and not fall on my face. They were incredibly comfortable allowing me to have enough cushion that I did not feel every rock I stepped on yet not so much that I wasn't able to feel and grip things like i am used to in my five fingers. They are very light weight and breathable. I can wear them all day at Disneyland too. I might grab another one of these bad boys!

Rated3out of5byBuffaloflatsfromGreat shoe to start, but I won't buy againI got these shoes last summer (2013) to wear for everyday use. I have never worn minimal type shoes before. These are extremely comfortable with a wide toe box and very light weight. I hike in the woods, desert, or on dirt roads everyday. They are very much ventilated - very cold everyday shoe for the winter months but very nice for summer. Walking over rough terrain (off-trail) they don't offer much support and I wear my Merrill Moab boot for that. I have hiked many miles in these and they are now wearing out along the inside of the heel and making a hot spot on my foot. Noe looking at different models to replace these.

Rated5out of5byforever youngfromSo comfy!I've only had these shoes a little over a week (got them in black) and love them. They fit my feet nicely right out of the box. I have abnormally high arches and no shoe I've ever bought has had proper arch support for me but these are pretty decent. I may or may not need inserts, only time will tell on that. That said, I have yet to find a complaint with them.
I walk daily at work. So far they don't rub, cause hot spots or irritate my feet in other ways. I have no new knee, hip, or back pain that would indicate problems with the shoes. VERY happy over that.
I haven't taken them off the street into more uneven terrain yet so can't speak to how they work on the trail.
Oh, one thing I REALLY love is that they breath, marvelously if I may say so. During hot weather I expect to be very grateful for the mesh design on the toes and sides.
Over all these are great shoes. The only caution I might throw in here is the arch support. Never having had normal feet I really can't speak to how well they would fit a more normal foot.

Rated5out of5byTrailberriesfromFavorite running shoe!If you're not already into/used to minimalist footwear, you won't like these shoes. If you're looking for a cushy, squishy shoe with great arch support, you definitely won't like this shoe.
That said, I LOVE THESE SHOES! I have several pair of Merrell barefoot shoes, but this is the first one that looks like a traditional sneaker instead of a water shoe (like the barefoot trail gloves do). They're stylish (I have them in red with the sky blue laces), comfortable, and durable but they don't look like minimalist footwear. I don't plan on ever going back to "traditional" footwear, so I hope the Mix Master Glide sticks around as I intend to make it my go-to running shoe forever.

Rated5out of5bymircatfromexcellent work shoesI typically wear "minimalist" shoes (I.e. moccasins or sandal-shoes like sanuks) that have little support and ample toe room, so I bought these to replace a pair of track running shoes I had gotten for work that leave my feet aching after a few hours. Couldn't be happier with my decision. These have just enough cushioning, fit like a glove throughout the arch, and leave my toes room to breathe! I am a server in a busy restaurant and am constantly on my feet, sometimes for up to 14 hour days. I love the traction on these for when I'm back in the kitchen. If you are looking for "traditional" running shoes these may be an adjustment for you, but if you are used to being in barefoot-like shoes these are a dream! Can't wait for some ice to melt so I can take them for a run.

Rated1out of5byAdagiofromNot for me.Feet fatique after less that 4 hours of walking on carpet and street. This is with a Spenco walker/runner high arch insole. Will not work for all day touring around on vacation.

Rated5out of5byCWRfromLightweight..you can wear them all dayI have thin feet with a narrow heel and wide at the toes. There are very few manufacturers who accomodate that combination but every Merrill shoe/boot I have seems like it was made especially for me. These are no different. Very lightweight and great ventilation. Love them.
