Rated5out of5byAverage ConsumerfromMy favorite bag everThe Bidwell is my favorite bag ever. I just ordered my second one and I really hope Overland Equipment keeps making them.
I love the quality of Overland Equipment and the way the bags are organized.
In the past, I had a Donner bag. I stopped using it because it is so heavy, even when it is completely empty. That is what makes the Bidwell so great. The lightweight fabric looks great but doesn't weight you down. The leather strap also sets it apart. Leather doesn't slip off your shoulder like a nylon webbing strap and it is far more attractive.
The easily accessible front pocket allows me to find and answer my cell phone before it goes to voice mail. The large zippered compartment holds A LOT of stuff...water bottle, lunch, small shopping items. There is an inner pocket that keeps a tablet from banging around, I have used it for an iPad and Nexus 7.
I really hope to see these come out again in a new selection of colors.

Rated4out of5byDiabetic PumperfromGreat daily bagI have used this the past 3 months.
This is my daily handbag.
With several items I must carry at all times due to health, the variety of storage compartments, pockets, pouches allows for organized towing. I also store a checkbook style wallet and coin purse.
I like the wide leather adjustable straps and the deep rear pocket located on the outside of the bag, opposite the front flap. This deep pocket can easily hold a iPhone sz cellular without worry of falling out and staying out of site. I like the side storage pockets on the inside of the main compartment, and plenty big enough to hold a full size juice box and 2 granola bars into one pocket. There is no inside zipper pocket within the main compartment.
The front flap covers additional sized storage pockets, zippered pouch and some open slots. I really like the design idea of this outer storage area for smaller sized items ie pens, pocket knife, sm sized Kleenex pack, has an attached leather key lanyard, Chapstick, gum, etc. The outside embroidery makes for a feminine touch.
However, my only complaint to this bag is the type of closure on the front flap, low-weight rated magnets. I can't seem to ever have this flap secured, as the magnets don't have a strong enough hold to keep the flap from flapping! Velcro could do a better job!
Overall, I like this bag and it holds all my daily gear. I plan to modify the front closure by sewing on a metal button and attaching a stretch-cord loop to latch around the button for a secured flap.

Rated4out of5byTapakifromTravel bag with pazazzMy old, black bag had to go and it was nice to find the same organization in a colorful (orange) bag with lots of pockets. The adjustable leather strap allows for crossbody or shoulder wear and is comfy on my shoulder. My only complaint is that the magnet closure is weak...when the purse is full. The embroidered design is fun.

Rated4out of5byMister GatofromAttractive, organized bag - straps a (-)Shoulder strap is durable, non-slip leather but the adjustment system is VERY difficult to use, especially when brand new ... it gets a bit easier with use. A flat bottom would be nice, but understand it keeps the bag more flexible without. Overall this is a great bag.

Rated2out of5bypractical mommafromgreat bag, terrible strapI saw this bag in the store and loved how it looked. I like to wear my shoulder bags across the body so needed to extend the leather strap. Well it is extremely hard to extend because it is leather with holes like a belt on a belt. Problem is maybe the holes are new and small? Strap is too short for across the body and worry that the strap may pop out of the hole. Bag can probably be easily stolen off the person b/c straps are held by holes in a pin and nothing else. This would have been an awesome bag if the straps were webbed or fabric. Overland, if you are reading this, change the shoulder strap and it'll sell great.
