by KR BaltofromFun rainboot alternative!I purchased this style because I liked the resemblance to Chuck Taylors. I like the red shoelaces, however, they do come with beige ones, as well. The boot runs large - I wear an 8.5 and size 9 boots usually work well for me with a good sock layer, however, the size 9's were quite large and I had to size down to an 8. I find that the boot lacks ankle support, but the bulky felt liner somewhat compensates for this. The boot itself looks a bit bulky over skinny jeans, but they fit fine under regular jeans. The felt liner really does wonders on keeping your toes toasty on cold days. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

by Fitness JunkiefromLove These Right Out of the BoxLove these boots right out of the box. I had searched many other sites looking for the perfect weight and look. I was even going to try the men's version of this boot but finally lucked out (shocking) at REI. This boot is definitely well made...triple-stitched and tough rubber (not stiff) so no uninvited water inside. The upper feels a little waxy but it will add to waterproofing. Sorel was even nice enough to throw in an extra pair of neutral colored laces if you don't like construction-cone orange that are laced up in the box. Very excited to sport these in the city and on the slopes. Fit is a little wide but will be good for thick socks....otherwise true to size.
