        Light weight, high quality material and stitching

        Fits nicely under rain shell for warmth in cold rainy weather

        I appreciate the thumb holes for holding sleeve when adding another layer

        Full zipper is nice for California springs, It's cold in the a.m. heats up fast and cools down quickly in late afternoon.

        Its light to carry and doesn't wrinkle when crammed in a pack.

        This is a great layering piece. When worn with a wool baselayer you will not need to take off and put back on when you are being aerobic. The material is durable for wool and comfortably lean and long in the torso with Ibex standard long sleeves.

        I use this for skinning up the hill or a good early spring bike ride.

        The only negative is you can not wash with cotton or it picks up all the lint. I guess I need more wool so I can have a full load in the washer!

          Get rid of that old poly fleece and grab yourself an Ibex Shak. The material is bomber, I have one that is over 5 years old and looks like new. The shak is an unreal layering piece and regualtes temperatures perfectly. Merino wool is an amazing fabric and should be a go to for any outdoor adventure. You will be hard pressed to find a better mid layer on the market. Ibex product is top notch.

            Love this piece. Been a big fan of Ibex for years since getting my first pair of El Fito cycling bottoms in 2002. One big favorite on the Shak Lite is the 100% US sourced wool through construction. I've used Zephers and Shaks over the years and really like this in-between weight built with the sturdier Shak fabric. I think its great to see Ibex find a US source for Merino Wool!
