Although the installation and configuration instructions are not the best it's a pretty simple process. I chose to mount the pickup on the r/h fork leg and therefore changing the battery is easier. I mounted the display on the headstem. The configuration is a pretty simple process as a first time installer. I ride a 29er and the instructions read to use a figure of 229 which was close but I wanted it spot on so I measured the circumference of my front wheel and came up with 230 and its spot on for distance. I believe this is a great addition to using my bike as a low impact fitness tool.

I tried another wireless speedometer, but you had to remember to re-start it every time you stopped for any period. Then it failed, REI took it back and I got this one. It's been great. I never have to worry about re-starting it and it's very accurate. I do a lot of birdwatching on my bike, and sometimes I stop for long periods. Now I don't have to remember to re-start the odometer.

Love this computer, but beware: the instructions are ridiculously bad. They comprise almost exclusively pictures only, and unless you've done this before, you'll have a tough time installing and configuring it. I had to go online to learn some of the tire-size terminology to complete that setting. The mount is flimsy plastic, which surprised me considering the price of this computer, but once the computer is seated in the mount, it's stable and attractive.It looks good, it's easy to use once you burn the instrutions and figure it out yourself, and it has great features. I tested it on a 30-mile ride on a mile-marked trail, and it's on-the-dime accurate.

Ok, this thing is cool! It looks great, and also calculates carbon offset per mile (using 2008 average car mpg per carbon contribution).

It was easy to install, and the wireless works perfectly. The wireless did happen to fumble when passing a DOT sign that would measure your mph. I guess their radar interfered with the signal.

THIS one thing gets me though, and I wish I would have noticed it before I purchased and installed it,,, the max odometer reading is 999.99 km or miles. So, if you're thinking of logging your long/hard work, forget it. You have to reset the whole thing before it works again.
