    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated3out of5byfromNO WET TRACTION - NONE!!!These shoes were great out of the box and a great shoe so far for dry land hiking, and they seem to keep the feet dry in small stream crossings. However, try to place one foot on a wet rock in a stream or river and you will end up on your backside. The souls on these shoes are like an ice cube on glass, no joke. They have ZERO wet rock traction. The first time I found this out I was crossing a ten foot wide creek in the North Cascades, tried to gain footing on an exposed rock and down I went. I am not a person that falls easily and it took me by surprise. I grew up in these mountains wearing everything from Teva sandals, Danner Goretex boots, and military issue jungle boots when I was younger. These are by far the worst for wet weather that I have seen so far. If you live in a wet climate or plan water crossings, be forewarned.

Rated5out of5byfromA Great Low Cut Hiking ShoeI bought these shoes three years ago and they are still going strong. Live in Colorado Springs and wear them every day. I am retired and spend a lot of time engaged in outdoor activities. Shoes probably have seven or eight hundred miles on them, and aside from some fading of the uppers and some wear of the soles, they are still in good shape with no fraying or tears. On a 15+ mile hike they do get hot, but if you know of some shoes that don't I would like to hear about them. Much more comfortable for daily use then my Aslos. I plan to buy a new pair this summer.

Rated4out of5byfromRuggedVery heavy duty shoe. I have no doubts that this shoe will last and hold up to all kinds of conditions, but they take some getting used to. They are awkward at first. they feel like a boot without the ankle support and the heel felt like walking on a hemisphere at first. after about a week of wearing them they grew on me as I got used to the feel and they definitely keep your feet dry in wet conditions.

Rated4out of5byfromLooks great and performed well.Wore this on two hikes. They feel really sturdy when walking on sharp rocks and edges. Traction is fantastic. I think I need to break them in some more to feel the pull potential these shoes have. I definitely feel like I can conquer almost anything when wearing them.

Rated4out of5byfromGreat looking hiking shoes that performUse them for easy to mid level day hikes. They look great compared to some of the others. Pretty light and the sole is more rigid. Providing more stability. You'll barely feel pointy or edgy rocks which helps with foot fatigue. Haven't used them in wet conditions yet but excited to try. I would of given 5 stars but I did get a blister on my second use of these shoes. I just started hiking though so I think I just have to break them in. Also tried using sock liner with hiking socks. Still in search of a good one though. These shoes feel great. Like I can conquer anything with them.

Rated5out of5byfromSilly good!repeating some comments I saw; - I HATE buying shoes - but these were comfortable at the store. I wore them around the house for a few weeks before takign them outside, because I tent to return most shoe purchases . . NOT THESE THey are WARM, i bought them in October in Chicago, but even on short hikes, feet get warm/hot I need some over the ankle boots, looking at Oboz first!
