REI Members get back an estimated $ 9.90 on this item as part of their annual member refund.

    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated2out of5byfromSlipperyWas really excited about these shoes but became quickly dissapointed. tried them on in the store and they felt great. Loved the quick in and out velcro straps. But as soon as I got on the rock wall thats when it all fell apart. I fell all day long from slipping. The rubber on the shoes got a little chalk on them from the footholds and instantly turned slick as ice. Took them back, got something else, and couldnt be happier

Rated1out of5byfromPainful and clunkyMy first climbing shoe. I joined a gym and go 2-3 days a week. I love climbing and bouldering. For these shoes it seems that non technical climbing is their forte. First, I was recommended to these shoes by an REI employee and suggested to try on 1/2 size smaller. . First I don't recommend these shoes but if you do decide to try them out, try your actual size. So they were painful, mainly on my big toe. Not by fit but by impact and landing. They are also very bulky. It felt like I was climbing in regular shoes. No feeling and clunky. I recently took them to Tahoe for some bouldering and had the same results.. Fed up with these shoes I returned them (REI is the best!) I'm now wearing Scarpa Vapor V's. A FULL SIZE lower than my regular shoes and absolutely love them. But that's a whole other review. Hope this helps-

Rated4out of5byfromGreat Beginner ShoeFor me, these have been great shoes. I've been using them for a couple of months now and I still like them. These, to me, are a lot more comfortable than the Evolv shoes I've tried and about the same price. It took a while to break them in but now they are very comfortable and I can climb for a couple of hours without taking them off. I was concerned they would smell bad after a while but they don't smell at all. I would recommend these to another beginner. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with many other shoes to compare them with so my review may not be of the most help.

Rated1out of5byfromNot for me.I don't really like to give bad reviews but, these shoes are terrible. Honestly they are fine if you are just starting out and are climbing very easy routes with large footholds. But, there are many other shoes out there that are better for less cash. These are my qualms about them. They are extremely stiff. Smearing is a feat in itself with these. Not sensitive and not sticky. So sticking on small or slick footholds are terrible. Cracks? Forget it. I can stick routes better in my old skate shoes. The heel is shaped extremely odd so I ended up having ALOT of room in the heel which didn't make heel hooks feel very good and the straps allowed no adjustment to fix this. Taking them back asap and sticking with what I know works for me the best.
