Rated5out of5byWalkergalfromPerfect Bag for my larger laptopAmazing messenger bag to use for a larger laptop (mine is 15.6") while walking/biking to the nearest coffee shop or library for Internet access! Plenty of space for charging cord, notebook, coffee container in main compartment. Smaller compartment has 2 zippered areas that I use for ID, $$, etc. Outside zippered space is big enough for house keys, bike lock keys, pen, small notebook. Shoulder strap swivels at its' ends (for cross chest use) and has a padded piece that moves for adjustment. This bag is amazing and has every function I needed (to replace my Novarra messenger bag that didn't accommodate a laptop. Am seriously thinking about buying Rei's Quantum Backpack because it is equally well made, a beautiful color, a two-toned tone red & burgundy, with all the same features. Did I mention the 2 mesh water bottle holders? Thanks, Rei!

Rated5out of5byScouterPhilfromThe Perfect On-The-Go BagI became a fan of messenger bags while living in Russia in the late '90s. Since returning to the U.S., I've been looking for a good bag that was reasonably priced, conservative in appearance, sturdily constructed, and practical. It took over a decade to find a bag that is all of those things, and this is it. The top flap provides excellent protection for inclement weather, computer compartment(s) are well-protected, and mesh pockets inside the main compartment provide convenient storage for bulkier items such as adapters and cables that don't stow well with papers or folders.
The weather-resistent zipper providing direct access to the computer pocket(s) is very convenient for airport security and day-to-day quick access.
My sole complaint is that I wish it were slightly more formal in appearance--a solid black option would have been nice.

Rated4out of5byBlackpollfromGood bag!I use this bag 5x/week to carry books, folders, water and a 15" laptop to work. So far, so good. It looks good, strap is fairly comfortable, it's roomy and seems well constructed.
It replaces a Kensington bag of similar dimensions that served me well for 5 years until the zippers failed. I sense that the zippers on this REI bag will fare better.

Rated4out of5byrmfranklinfromFunctional and understatedI travel/fly for work almost every week so I needed a durable bag computer bag for flying and taking to client sights. So far this has been a great bag. It is larger than I expected and swallows my laptop and files with plenty of room left over. Love the water bottle holder on both ends and the zipper on the back to access the inside without opening the flap.
Not particularly stylish for office use.
Little worried about durability of the rear corners.
Otherwise, I love it and would recommend.
