The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Mug with HotLips:
I was hesitant to spend this amount of money on a high tech 'mug', but after 6 days on Isle Royale using this as my one and only cook pot and hot beverage container with temps in high 30 to low 50s, I am happy to report that it performed flawlessly. I've read several complaints of the Ti holding the flavor of whatever was formerly cooked in it. This is horse hockey. I drank 3-4 cups of 'cowboy coffee' out of mine every day and never detected the residual coffee flavor when preparing other meals. Also, I was very concerned about my beverages getting cold to quiclky (and thus contemplated a double wall mug, but you can't boil water in that!), but boy, am I glad I ignored those. My 16oz coffee servings stayed warm / hot long enough for me to polish it in some downright chilly mornings. Mine didn't come with the hot lips and I don't really see a need for them as I never had an issue with a hot rim as long as you didn't fill the cup to it's very limits.
I did burn my finger one time while removing the cup from my stove, but I quickly learned that letting it sit for as little as 30 seconds after turning off the burner kept that from happening as the heat quickly dissapated from the handles.
I give this a '2 thumbs up'.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Mug with HotLips:
A very nice product. Wing-flap handles are nice for compact travel. It does get hot, so I would recommend the "hot-lips" and a hanky to pick up after being used for cooking. The material does collect fingerprints easily, but who cares when you're camping. A little pricey, but well worth the durability and usage benefits. Also, the 0.6L can hold the small Sno-peak canisters.

Just had it out for a week on the AT! Very lightweight. Used it with my Jetboil, drank hot chocolate in it while the rest of my meal reconstituted. Your drinks cool off quickly as it isn't insulated but that's ok, because I am usually ready to down my drinks and break camp as fast as possible. If you want it to stay hot, buy the insulated version.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Mug with HotLips:
This thing is only good for boiling water. Anything you cook in it will leave residue on the walls and you will waste all of your drinking water supply to try to clean it. Do yourself a favor and get something with smooth surface. Anything will do a better job, then this thing. Same goes for their titanium cookware. Little weight difference will not brake your back and will save you a lot of money and hassle.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Mug with HotLips:
I was thrilled to find this cup can actually hold a pint's worth of liquid with ease. It's nice and light, plenty stout and does what a mug aught to, but it made me feel excited to know of it's functional capacity.
I didn't really bother with the "hot lips" thing beyond making awkward MASH references on occasion, but I understand the purpose. I think graduation marks stamped into this mug would've made it more useful for back-country cookery, but it's nothing to get upset over.
The biggest problem is 21st Ammendment Brewery doesn't sell pint cans of Back in Black to properly fill this thing on a short backpacking trip. One can dream...

I've used this on a couple backpacking trips now and really like it alot. I know it's a mug but it is large enough to use as a pot as well. Be sure you do have gloves on when handling the mug since titanium transfers heat instantly. I gave it 4 stars since it has no lid. Great product though and the hot lips rubber attachment is a nice touch.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Mug with HotLips:
Works great as something a bit larger than a hot drinks mug and a bit smaller than a cook-pot. To be fair, this thing really should be 25 dollars at most. Other than price, no real downsides to those who know what they are purchasing - if you want a lid be prepared to improvise or look elsewhere.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Mug with HotLips:
Ive gone back and fourth between different size pots/cups and over the years alls i have ever done with them "Really" was boil water. So right now im using a home made alcohol stove(that weighs almost nothing)with this cup and its working great, and at 2.8 oz this cup has the durabilty i need for packing it on overnight peakbagging excursions. I discovered that a
cup of noodle foam cup fits in it almost perfectly to make a insulated mug so i can pour my hot water in the foam cup put the foam cup inside the snowpeak cup the metal cools quick(so really no hotlips needed unless ur sharing) or i just use the foam cup to drink from while i boil more water and of couse the foam cup stores inside of it while packed also i can fit a 3 oz bottle of fuel, lighter, folding titanium spork, a soda can version of the nasty cat stove all weighing in around 6.75 ozs total so im pretty happy with this purchase

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Mug with HotLips:
I am a frequent backpacker and sea-kayak-tourer located in Western NC, so most of my use is in the Southeastern USA. However, I have been all over the country, both backpacking and kayaking, and I do so regularly. I travel abroad, but that's irrelevant for this review. The Snowpeak 600 mug is my lightweight solo cook pot/mug of choice for any outdoor adventure, whether it be a quick day hike where I want to have a nice hot drink in the afternoon, or an extended 10 day kayak expedition or backpacking trip. Great for boiling 2 cups of water, or cooking up a meal for one. Combine it with an aftermarket or homemade SP600 lid (it's only weakness, it does not come with one) and it's perfect! It'll nest a small 110g canister and a Snowpeak Gigapower stove inside, or you can easily fit a small alcohol stove with fuel and still have room leftover for a lighter, bandana, windscreen, etc. An alternative might be the GSI Halulite Minimalist, which offers a bit more in the way of creature comforts (sip lid, cozy, slightly larger capacity, less expensive), but it is also heavier for those who are counting ounces and grams... The hotlips fit snuggly and do what they are intended to do, no complaints there. Overall a beautiful, rugged, well-designed titanium mug/pot. In summary, the SP600, with a lid (seek and thee shall find), is quite perfect!!!

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Mug with HotLips:
For backpacking I really like the idea of a 20 fl oz durable-but-ultra-light metal cup that can double as a solo cooking pot. But after purchasing the "Snow Peak Titanium" and using it several times I found that it has a lingering metallic taste that simply won't go away. And it is EXPENSIVE (!!) A better idea: For less than 1/4 the price of the "Snow Peak Titanium" you can get a 17 fl oz stainless steel cup made by StanSport that weighs 3.8 oz (vs. 3.0 oz for the Snow Peak). Or, for less than 1/3 the price of the Snow Peak, you can get a 12 fl oz anodized aluminum cup made by Esbit that weighs only 2.5 oz and includes a lip protector.[...]
