The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Rated5out of5byfnffromJust love these pants!I bought these pants specifically for hiking. I have put them to the test, backpacking over 200 miles in rugged high alpine, hot desert, and lush forest, last summer alone and they still look good enough to wear to the office.
Breathable, quick drying, lots of pockets, good hip placement, drawstring, and a flattering fit. Plus the material is quiet. No loud like some hiking pants.

Rated5out of5byPointoforiginfromThree pairs and still in LOVE!Have these in black, grey and dark khaki. I'm 5'6" and normally wear 8-10, but these sizes run large and ordered a 6. Fit like a glove! Worn all over the country and countless hikes. Superb for traveling as they retain shape with no wrinkling due to the stretchy fabric. Fabric breathes so well and dries quickly when wet. I find myself always reaching for these when want to be comfortable thus I wear them a lot!

Rated4out of5byLets GofromWonderful pantsI wore these pants on a trip to Africa that included hiking Kilimanjaro and a safari. I only brought two pairs of pants on the trip and this was one of them. The capri length zip off was perfect. It was cooler but still conservative. The pants didn't show too much dirt in the serengeti when red clay dust was EVERYWHERE. I thought the pants looked great even after days without washing them. The only negaitve I would give them is after about 2 wears without washing, they waist got noticably stretched. They have a drawstring in them to tie them tighter but it made the pants gap at the front/back. I bought these pants because my sister had a pair and loved them.

Rated5out of5byhovergyrlfromMUST have for hikingBought these pants to wear for my three day Inca Trail hike in Machu Picchu, Peru, this winter during the rainy season. I ended up wearing them all three days! Very comfortable, breathable and durable. And I ended up getting many compliments on how stylish and good they looked -although that isn't why I bought them. My favorite qualities were when we were hiking at it was 80 degrees, they were 100% breathable and I never got sweaty. Then when it started POURING rain and I didn't have time to get my rain pants back out, the front of these pants got soaked. BUT, within literally half an hour of no rain, they were completely dry. Completely. Impressive.

Rated5out of5byStarrnfromMy favorite pantsI don't know how people have negative things to say about these pants. I love them. I am 5'10" and the regular is long enough so maybe if you are shorter than that order a short size I'm not sure, but some reviews said that they were too long. I have been looking for a good pair of hiking pants that didn't fit like a trash bag for years...enter these pants. They are comfortable, functional and make my butt look good the zip off is just below the knee more of a Capri than shorts. I have been wearing these around town as an alternative to jeans because they are that stylish. It's a a pretty durable fabric and I can't wait to get out side with them when it gets a little warmer. These pants are the "Cadillac" of womens hiking pants you get what you pay for and these are worth it. I have grey and I will be getting black as well. I have nothing bad to say about these pants. If you are thinking of getting them..then you should.

Rated3out of5byBlkStriderfromnot for climbingI thought these pants would be comparable to the men's Zion in terms of durability, but I was wrong. they were easily shredded by my harness and the rock. I returned them in search of something tougher. My bf wears the Zion, and tears it up on granite etc.....no problems for him. Unfortunately prAna pants are cut for men and women...they are too baggy in the crotch for me to wear comfortably.

Rated4out of5byGigi-RayfromLOVE THEMThis is my second pair of these hiking pants (beige). I am trim and have muscular legs - not bird legs! These pants are practical when traveling because you can convert them to long shorts. This black pair fits a bit more snuggly than my original beige ones. And the fabric is a bit thicker. I attribute this to them being new, not worn in and the black color. Sometimes black dye on fabric makes it a tighter weave and just slightly smaller. It isn't a problem though. They are so much cuter than most of the hiking pants out there. I don't feel like I'm wearing diapers or shapeless pants. I will be looking for other colors and a replacement for the beige as they will wear out someday.

Rated3out of5byBHGfromZippers hit at the wrong spotI wanted to love these pants because the overall fit was great and often hiking pants have too high of a rise or are too tight in the hips for me (I'm 5'7" and about 125.)
Unfortunately, the zippers that make these pants convertible hit me right on the knee so that every time I took a step, I felt them snag on my knee cap. I figured that would be too annoying on long hikes so exchanged them for the prAna Halle pants, which are a little lighter weight but I found to still be warm with a layer underneath.
