I used to always prefer organic fabric to synthetic for shirts, but this piece has changed that. Aside from a tank top, these shirts are the coolest and airiest I own. They wash easily in a sink and dry in a flash. The nylon picks up some odor, but nowhere near as bad as polyester shirts I've used. The material wrinkles, but they just seem to magically "fall" out of the fabric with a little wearing. You can backpack in this shirt, and have dinner in a nice restaurant. I personally feel the fit and style/design of this shirt is the best of all the "travel" shirts I've seen out there. I confess that I've only had this shirt for about a month, so I can't speak to it's durability, but I've already bought another one, and plan to buy different colors next summer. REI's Sahara line is exceptional. I also love their cargo pants and tee shirts (l/s and s/s).

These shirts are really great. I especially love the mesh vents near the arm pits, and the fabric is so light that it's impossible not to stay cool and dry when I'm wearing this shirt. The fabric is also soft and there are no tags on the shirt to rub against my skin. The fabric dries really quickly when it gets wet. They do wrinkle a bit, but it's not a huge issue for me. The fit is also great. I am around 5' 10' and 195 lbs, and I prefer the fit of a size large for this shirt. I have at least three of these shirts and they have all held up well so far. I wear them camping, hiking, fishing, and for just everyday casual wear.

These are great short. Some folks have complained about zippers being changed for velcro, I personally don't like zippers all over and like the velcro. Lightweight, cool dries easy and is comfortable, especially with the heat we have had lately.

I bought two of these shirts to travel to Italy in the Summer. I knew it would be hot, and I wanted a comfortable, breathable shirt that would dry quickly. This shirt performed very well. It was cool in the heat, and dried very quickly. I washed the shirts every couple of days and they dried fast, which was important as I did not want to wear or pack a wet shirt. I liked the minimal design, without a lot of pockets and a conservative look for the chest pockets - this was good because you can wear the shirt out in the evening and it has a more "dressy" look than a shirt with more pockets, zippers and buttons. It does get a bit wrinkly, but smooths out after it is worn for a little while. Very comfortable in the heat.

You may search the Entire Internet but all Trails lead back to REI, but I do feel REI has a skewed idea of what colors a customer would want. This was a great fit for me at 6'5", the Med-Tall was perfect, vents are well designed to do just that without looking like you just walked off the set of" Mutual of Omaha's WIld Kingdom." You can be and feel cool in this shirt, and with such a warm 11'/12' winter, the coming sumer will put this shirt to the test. Did I mention we need more colors / prints?
