The North Face versatile, waterproof Storm Peak II boots are comfort rated to -25°F and ideal for foul-weather hiking and snowshoeing.

  • Polyester softshell uppers with reflective welding use 3-layer Storm Peak technology; first layer is abrasion-, water- and wind-resistant
  • Layer 2 is HydroSeal™ permeable membrane that shields water from inner layers and feet; layer 3 is 200g PrimaLoft® insulation
  • 200g Primaloft® Eco recycled polyester insulation ensures warmth and comfort during active use in conditions to -25°F
  • Injection-molded thermoplastic urethane rand nubs, toe caps and heel counters add durability; heel counters have shelf for snowshoe straps
  • Dri-Lex® fleece tongue and collar linings wick away moisture and dry quickly
  • Removable Northotic™ EVA footbeds with AgION™ topsheets provide cushioning and odor control
  • Dual-density EVA midsoles cushion feet for all-day wear; injection-molded EVA X-2™ heel inserts absorb heel shock and support feet
  • Nylon shanks deliver torsional stability while reducing cold temperature conductivity
  • TNF Winter Grip™ rubber outsoles grip snow and wet surfaces for solid traction

    I'm normally an 11 or 11.5 (sometimes a 12 in certain brands like Adidas). I had to order several pairs of these, ultimately sticking with the 10.5. I may recommend going a half size down. I have narrow feet and these are nice and snug, may be too snug for a wide foot. I just got these, so they haven't gotten a good wet weather or snow test yet. Shows built as one solid piece, so I anticipate good water protection. The lining is thin, so I'm not sure how warm they'll be come winter weather. What I do like is that they feel more like a sneaker than a winter boot. I've had clunkier boots in the past and they get heavy during a day out. I anticipate these to be nicer when pushing the kids around in the snow.
