Comments about Alps Mountaineering Clearwater +20 Sleeping Bag - Special Buy:
Took this on a weekend camping trip. Temps got down in the 40s but I was nice and toasty. Unlike some other mummy bags, I had plenty of room without having lots of drafts.

Comments about Alps Mountaineering Clearwater +20 Sleeping Bag - Special Buy:
After using this bag on four different trips throughout WA, and central AK this summer, I feel it was a great buy. This bag performs well to at least 35 degrees. I recommend this for anyone who is looking for a relatively inexpensive but functional 3 season bag. The zipper can snag if you yank it up quickly...so just take an extra two seconds when you close the zipper and you shouldn't have this problem.

Comments about Alps Mountaineering Clearwater +20 Sleeping Bag - Special Buy:
Zipper broke 2nd night of use, now the zipper is stuck all the way towards the bottom and will not move up. Bag is also very heavy and not very compact, would not recommend backpacking.

Nice bag, nice price. Heavy duty zipper, although it often snags.

Took this bag on a backpacking trip through Iceland a few weeks ago. Very warm, if a bit heavy, but worth the added weight (especially for the $$). Our tent flooded one night (because nobody warns you about Iceland's flash-flooding nighttime rains); boyfriend woke up soaked through his sleeping bag but I was nice and dry.

Comments about Alps Mountaineering Clearwater +20 Sleeping Bag - Special Buy:
I paid [$] dollars for this bag to replace an old colman I had beaten up for years. I could not be happier with its performance. It is a little heavy but lightweight='s more $$. It has kept me warm down to 30degress so far!

Comments about Alps Mountaineering Clearwater +20 Sleeping Bag - Special Buy:
Just used it for camping in Yosemite Valley. Based on the price, the bag is reasonably small and lightweight. It also has plenty of room and provided much warmth (maybe a bit too much, but Yosemite Valley in late May is not that cold either). The included compression sack is useful but again I never had experience with this kind of sack before. I wonder if the bag can be compressed even further with a better sack. Anyway, hope to test it in colder weather soon.
