The REI Zephyr +15 sleeping bag is for comfort-conscious women. It provides the ideal balance of light weight, warmth and a relaxed fit for cozy roominess.
- Specially designed for women, the bag is cut to match a woman's shape and filled with extra insulation around the chest and hips for added warmth
- REI-exclusive Z-Baffle construction combines 2 insulations that together maximize heat retention far more efficiently than a single insulation
- Mummy shape is thermally efficient, yet roomy enough from shoulder to knee to ensure sleeping comfort
- Insulated muffler and full-length zipper draft tube keep the warmth in and the cold out
- Ripstop nylon shell is abrasion- and tear-resistant for years of use
- Exterior chest pocket is great for stowing small necessities such as your watch, eyeglasses and lip balm, alleviating middle-of-the-night fumbling
- Special pocket can be stuffed to make a pillow that stays in place; no need for a pillow to take up valuable space in your backpack

I got this during the outlet sale in December and testdrove it with a little rural backyard camping with the kids last week. I was extremely warm in this bag and it was very comfortable. I'm expecting during the summer I'll most likely leave the top undone, but for late fall/winter/early spring this will keep me nicely warm.
In addition to how great this bag insulates, I didn't use a sleeping pad with this and was warm. Now, to find that deal on a sleeping pad... bet I'd be even warmer!
I haven't tested this with full winter camping yet, but I have a feeling this bag will do fine, at least in the SE.

I've had this bag for 2 years now. I only use it during colder months. I've been tent camping with it at least a dozen times, and in temps down to 16 degrees. This bag (with a good sleeping pad) has kept me warm. It's well designed. I sleep on my side and can stay comfortable in this bag. The zipper has snagged, so I have to be careful when zipping and unzipping. Other than that, I can highly recommend this bag for cold weather camping.

I got this for [$] at a used gear sale so I really can't complain too much... I also currently live in a tent and have been using it for three months straight, so I might be giving it a bit more than normal use. The lining is ridiculously comfortable, but I have found it gets torn really easily by things like blades of wild oat grass. The zipper snags easily and has punctured the lining a bit. The pillow pouch has torn a bit by me rearranging at night. It is warm, though I doubt I have been in temperatures under 40degrees in it yet. It does pack down small in a compression sack, and is pretty lightweight. I would recommend it, but maybe not for everyday use.
