REI Camp Bed 2.5 Self-Inflating Padis rated3.6957out of5by23.
Rated1out of5byfromUpdated review-five yearsI first reviewed these pads in 2009. At that time I was in love, and bought two more as gifts for friends. While I still love the comfort and size of the pad, I've had to replace each pad at least once due to leaking valves. Now my most recent replacement pad is less than a year old and has developed a number of slow but steady leaks all along one edge of the pad, about two inches in from the seam. I think the materials are flawed and will not stand up to even occasional use. Sadly, I can no longer recommend this pad.

Rated5out of5byfromThis thing rocks. . .I got this for car camping comfort and it delivers that perfectly. Of course it's heavy and bulky, but I have an ultralight pad as well. This one is warm, comfortable and the surface is soft to the touch. Basically this has become my girlfriend's pad, and I usually use a NeoAir. For car camping, it's almost perfect. I just wish it was a little bit longer. They should make it as 74 inches. I'm 6'1" and I stay on the pad just fine but if I stretch out I hang off a bit. I didn't want to get the large 3.5 inch thick guy though because that thing is too big, even for me.

Rated1out of5byfromHit and Miss!rst outing in clean new tent, the pad lost air within an hour. My wife has same product and has used for 4 years. No problem. Hers has a repair kit. Mine came without. I see other reviews like mine. Others love it. If you buy it, keep your reciept so you can take advantage of REI's great return policy in case you get a lemon like I did.

Rated4out of5byfromI like itWith an aging body (61 years and counting), it was time to replace the two, thinner ThermaRests I had used stacked, one on top of the other. I considered the 3" pad, but the 2.5" kept my shoulder and hip off the floor when trying it out in the store. If I weighed more than my 150 pounds, 3" would have been necessary. The first night I used it, I felt the amount it filled itself was too little. The second night, I blew some more air into it and I had a good night's sleep. I wish I could roll it tighter, but I can still fit it into its sack. Because of this and since I do not plan to backpack it, I can live with a slightly bulkier rolled-up pad than I am used to.

Rated5out of5byfromNice matI bought 2 of these, as we're getting too old to sleep on the cold hard ground. They inflate easily and reach full thickness in a few hours. It takes several roll ups to get all the air out. They are probably too heavy and bulky for backpacking, but a nice little luxury for car camping. The extra width and thickness go a long way.

Rated5out of5byfromGreat support! The 2.5 bed is super comfortable to sleep on. We have the 3.5 as well, and while visually there's a 1 inch difference between the two, you can't tell the difference when you're alseep. In other words, the 2.5 does the job and is just as comfortable. Great night's sleep.
