Marin Northside Trail mountain bike is built stiff and responsive for aggressive cross-country riding under demanding conditions.
- 7005 aluminum frame is triple-butted for strength; lightweight design loads easily onto a car rack
- Low stand-over height provides extra clearance between you and the bike should hard riding suddenly kick you off the saddle and pedals
- Marzocchi MZ III fork features preload adjustment and 120mm travel to control you through rock-hard landings
- Hayes mechanical disc brakes fore and aft provide immediate, responsive deceleration should you reconsider that jump at the last moment
- You power the bike through the tried-and-true Truvativ X-Flow crankset, turning the 8-speed, 11-32 cassette in back
- Shimano Alivio shifters, C050 front and Acera rear derailleurs provide smooth, consistent shifting through all 24 speeds
- Wheelset includes durable Alex TD-20 rims, Shimano disc hubs and dirt-grabbing Kenda Kinetics 26x2.35 tires

After an initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly.
