I just used this tent for the first time and for our particular needs it worked well. It easily fit 5 adults, plus 4 full sized, active dogs. The night time mountain temps were mild with no rain, so I can't comment on how warm/dry it stays in colder weather, but the ventilation was sufficient and never got too warm, even with all those bodies inside.
Besides the main door, the side and back "windows" also zip open for easy access.
The tent is very easy to set up, but the best part is the ease of fitting the entire thing back into its duffel bag. This is a HUGE tent, yet repacking it back into the bag is a snap.
The only downside is that the zipper on the main door sticks in the outside fabric every now and then, but nothing that can't be undone pretty easily.
This is not a light tent, nor one that you would want to carry for any distance.

Our first true CAR-camping tent (we backpack). We LOVED the size for our family of five. It barely fit in our living room! The kids were excited to have plenty of space and the clothing didn't have to stay in the car, plenty of room in the tent for all the bags...I LOVE that I can see the sky even with the fly on, and without the fly, I feel like I am almost all the way outdoors. Again, LOVE IT.First tent went back to REI for some unraveling stitching - thought it could be repaired, but they ordered us a new one. The new one has some odd defect, where the material covering the fly windows cannot be held aside... we can live with it... but it also leaked in several odd places the one time we've had it out in bad weather. I moved from one side to the other and the drips followed me so badly I ended up in the car. Not sure if seam sealer will help - think it had something to do with the fly touching the main tent body.In any case, the price[$] could not be beat, and if you use it for good weather car camping, it can be a great tent.Enjoy!-k.

big and roomy tent. added rooms provide privacy. kept the rain out. The skylight was a nice feature. Worked very well on a 5 day car camping trip mid September. Stayed dry on a day of wet weather. Definitely a car-camping tent.
