REI Members get back an estimated 10% on this item as part of their annual member refund.

    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

by fromVery dissapointed This is the second Classic Trail from REI. The first i bought instore. When i placed my pot on the first stove i noticed the pot didnt rest on all four pot stands equally. This resulted in a moderatly unstable pot. No big deal i thought so i got a refund and ordered another classic trail online. When i got the new classic trail it was more unstable than the first. The main reason i bought this stove was for pot stability. It looks like the potstands were assembled and spot welded wrong. Theres nearly a 1/8 inch gap between the pot leg and the bottom of the pot. How hard is it to turn the potstand upside down and tack weld it on a level surface ?

by fromGood 1st Stove Great price point for basic stove. A toss up: In calm weather, you'll love how easy it is to use - no pouring white gas, no bonfire effect when lit. BUT if you encounter a storm, are forced to cook in exposed areas, or are at high-altitude, the wind will knock out the flame quickly. That being said, I have happily used this stove for over 4 years, and learned to always build shelter around the flame.

by fromEasy, light, cost-friendly Don't spend a bunch if you can't, this stove will do what most other high-priced stoves will do.

by fromIndestructable This stove performs like a champ. Easy to light and boils quickly. Inexpensive and durable. I have dropped this stove many times, one of the pot rests are bent but does not effect the performance. I have a MSR Whisperlite that I use to take everywhere but hasn't been used since I bought the Primus Yellowstone. I originally bought this because a friend was going backpacking with me and needed a stove, it was the cheapest stove [...]. Now it accompanies me on all of my adventures. The only problem with it is the stove does not fold down, nor does it fit in the bag that comes with the stove. But I have found a tupperware that doubles as a food dish/stove protector.

by fromGreat for the price It gets the job done well but not great. Its a pretty good little stove. The only thing I dislike about it is that it isn't very stable. But you can't beat the price.

by fromCheap stove - works great! I went into [...] intending to buy another stove that wasn't in stock and ended up with this one instead based on the review [...]. It is easy to use, reliable, and works great. I would definitely recommend it to others for car camping or backpacking trips.

by fromGreat compact stove This is a great stove and I have not had any problems with it after heavy use. The fuel canister design is a drawn back making it hard to judge how much fuel you have left but after a few uses you get a feel for it.
