Defective Tent

The tent was missing a stitching that hooks onto the poles. I will need to return this to the REI Store.

Great for the price

I bought this last year and waited until I'd taken it on a few trips to write this. Overall I think this is an excellent tent for the price point. My BF (5'8" and ~175lbs) and I (5'7" and ~160lbs) easily fit with room for our stuff as well. We did bring along one of our dogs (~40lbs) on one of our trips, and it was a little cozy. The double vestibules are perfect for pack/shoe storage and ensure that I'm not woken up when BF gets out of the tent. We haven't used it in any really rough weather, but it stays dry in your average rainfall and seems sturdy so I'm sure if we're caught out in worse weather it will hold up. We did have a little condensation in the tent when we took it to the Rockies in October even with the vents on the fly up, but it wasn't anything major. I'd definitely recommend getting a footprint for this tent, or at least doing what I did and cutting a cheap tarp down to size. We've had no major issues and I'm happy with the product.

super easy to set up, but drippy when it dews

I used this tent for a four day, three Night camping trip. The first two nights I was in the deep woods backcountry camping so morning dew really didn’t affect me much. The tent is easy to set up, easy to pack away, and fairly roomy. The second night I packed up and stayed at a campground. It did it’s job but the design is flawed in multiple ways. For one, the floor is very thin so you’ll need to purchase a footprint. They sell this for the exact tent so I did use that. The second, and imo much larger issue, is that if you are in an area that is affected by morning dew, the tent will condensate INSIDE. The design doesn’t allow for you to enclose the tent without the rain tarp since there’s multiple screens without the ability to enclose them. I was woken up multiple times at night by water dripping on my face. This tent would be great if it wasn’t for the few issue. I personally hate having to use the rain tarp if it’s not raining. But I do not want to worry about water drips at night. I’ve owned multiple tents that got dewy at night that never dripped internally before. Therefore I’ll be returning it.

Will be dry if it rains a TON!

This tent is amazing! I took it out for the 3rd time and it's first time in rain right in the middle of Hurricane Hilary! We camped in the Sierra Nevada for one week. It rained non-stop for a whole day and by the end of the storm, there was a puddle I could feel under the tent, but you know what? Not a single drop of water leaked through the entire time it rained, none through the bottom, none through the fly. This is an amazing tent, would recommend in a wet hurricane!
