Perfect layer

This is a tool jacket. Meaning it is a layering piece that can take the place of you down jacket on not so cold days. It's very warm for its weight and its so light it's great to throw in a pack if the temps drop. For all of the above reasons, the fit is supposed to be tight. Not restrictive, but form fitting. So it's not for everyone. Luckily I have the body of Greek god, so for me it's a non issue. Seriously, it a great piece of gear for hiking, but due to the fit you're probably not going to rock it around town. For me, it takes the place of my down jacket in 40-60 degree weather. When the temps really drop, this could be used under a down jacket and a shell for a great set up.

Mahmoot, ma'am moot. hah, great technical jacket

I bought it mainly for a nice mid layer that is my favorite color. But it has turned into my go-to midlayer. It's -15 degrees in NORMN (Northern MN) as I write this. Merino wool under it and my nice down jacket over it and I do NOT get cold. I use it for hiking, running, Ice climbing, going to the grocery store, I play outdoor hockey in it and love it. It is an athletic fit. Not intended for multiple layers, nor loose or baggy shirts underneath it. It breathes well, also.

Fantastic Fit and excellent feel

Material is fantastic and fit is perfect! This is my first (second) Mammut product. I bought this in black and loved it so much I returned to buy the amazon color! I Have a thru hike of the Appalachian Trial planned for early this spring and I am sure this will keep me comfortable. Absolutely worth the price, though I used my REI refund to help during this weekend's grand opening in Princeton NJ :) Thanks REI!!! Great grand opening!!!

Perfect Midlayer

Bought this for fall/winter hiking in California. I love it! It's really cuts the wind chill and is very warm. I wore it as a mid layer during a snowy hike at 11k feet and it worked perfectly. I have no complaints.
