A fine, utilitarian kayak
I have had this kayak for 6 months now. I paddle it 1-3x/week on a tidal influenced river, have traveled to saltier locations and have taken 3 kayak camping trips with this boat. When we paddle, the dog comes along and we pick up trash. As the weight of the trash can cause the boat to sit low, I built a deck to keep the dog out of the water. In November 2020 we removed more than 50 tires from the Anacostia River - the boat offers plenty of capacity, is fun to paddle, and has proven itself under arduous conditions. I have had to contact customer service and found the process relatively painless. I would highly recommend this boat.
Love this kayak but has a big design flaw
This is a wonderful kayak with the bells and whistles I like, but the seat is so under engineered, you’d better be handy. We are retro fitting the seat because the clips that connect to the sides, constantly come loose. Also the seat hinge is a joke! We used zip ties on the hinge after going to our local outfitter and seeing how the seat should work. Now we are retrofitting the side connections to be secured under the handles. Lifetime should be better than this. What I like: 4 handles, quality construction, wheel so I can drag my kayak, so huge “lump” in the middle (I like to cross my legs). Fix the seat problem and it will be perfect.

Great all-around sit-on-top
I've had the Temptation 11 for a little over a year. It's a great multi-purpose sit-on-top kayak. It works well on light whitewater, flat water, or in light surf. I'm equally at home taking it to the rivers of the North Georgia mountains, on a lake, in the surf near Tybee Island or Hilton Head, or on Shem Creek near the harbor of Charleston, SC. It tracks well, is reasonably maneuverable, and is stable in moderate buffeting. The skeg wheel is a nice addition for transporting it on hard ground or pavement. No, it's not as maneuverable as a designed whitewater kayak, and it doesn't track as well as a built-for-the-sea kayak; but if your travels take you to multiple kayaking opportunities and you can only afford or have room for one, you'd be hard pressed to find a better option for the money. A word of warning: secure the seat during transport. I lost at mine and it's not as comfortable without it.
Great kayak! I can't imagine owning anything other than an Emotion Kayak.
This is my first kayak oh, I did a lot of research and everything kept pointing to an emotion. So glad I made that choice. I bought one my friend bought two and we're both still happy. I've had mine for 8 years and it's pulling up beyond my expectations. It's a little heavy so I bought Wheels, Cox and problems with ease. I needed a new part and customer service was amazing!
This company is awesome
I have a sit on top kayak made by lifetime. It is just awesome. We have really used it a ton. I have been hard on it. I loan it out to all my friends and it just keeps giving. Unfortunately, a few of the parts got lost and/or broken. I called the factory and they helped me find replacements. I just love a company that has great products and stands behind them as well as these guys. Just Awesome. I think I will buy a few more things from them. I know the Kayaks are good!!!!
Great sit on top kayak for a big person.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I not exactly huge but I'm 200# and this kayak has a capacity of 300#. It has a wheel locates at the rear to ease transport. Recently I had to order a replacement wheel and my Lifetime. customer service rep took the time to help me identify the proper part (sketch wheel) and they shipped to it to me in a timely manner. The follow up emails and tracking info confirms they shipped my part within two days of my initial contact with Lifetime.
Excellent choice for kayaking a wide range of environments!
My wife and I bought two of these over a year ago and have used them on shallow rivers with rapids to large waterways. The kayaks have been wonderful. Easy to turn, excellent balance and the skeg with the wheel is great for pulling the kayak for short distances and keeping the kayak on a straight line. We recently lost a part and the customer service was quick and excellent!

bought it several months ago and covid19 reared its ugly head. we are able to use them now and noticed we're missing the seat pad for 2 kayaks...have the back rest, just no seat pad
