    REI Flash 62 Pack - Men's - Special Buy is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice pack nice price! I've used this pack a dozen times primarily in the High Sierra's for anywhere between 2 to 5 days hikes. It's perfect for my needs, just shy of 3 lbs. I rarely need to pack it above 25 lbs, which is what my gear usually tops out at. The Flash 62 is really comfortable between 20-30lbs, but I seriously question the higher load weight recommendations from REI. I'm sure it'll work, but you'd be better served with a pack that has a more robust frame. Check the fit carefully, I'm 5'10" 175 lbs and only the small fit. For lighter loads at the clearance price (available in-store for substantially less than online) The pack is a bargain. Get it while you can.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great pack, bad belt. I loved this pack at first. The color is odd, but I buy for fit and function, not color. The frame moves very well with you as you walk, and the bottom access is KEY for setting up a tent you may keep in the bottom without pulling everything out of your pack. My only complaint is that the hip belt literally rubbed my hips raw any time I hiked over 10 miles. I had to resort to covering up my raw hips with duct tape. this is a great deal and if it's cold and you wear a bunch of clothes, this could be good. There are better and more comfortable bags out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thru-hiker approved I used this exact pack on my 6 month Appalachian Trail thru hike in 2013. Never experienced any problem with the pack. Couldn't have been happier.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Money could be better spent I really wanted to like this pack, it was on sale for 95$. The bottom carrying straps dont stay tight, I almost lost a 100$ rope. The buckles are cheap flimsly plastic, i was a fraid they were going to snap every time I used them. the mesh pockets on the side arent sewn into the pack and reach around to each other behind the front pocket. The pack is comfortable enough, however. I just think there are better packs out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wet and muddy and hating life. Pack Survived My friend had an Ospry that could carry 70 Pounds and I had my Flash 62 that could apparently only carry 60. I stuffed this bag and latched on an extra dry sack as I went waddling around in freezing rain, mud and flash floods on 20 degree days for 7 straigh miserable days. And it lasted. It repelled as much water as it could, it didn't rip or tear, it was comfortable even when soaked. When I seen my friends bag I cursed myself for not getting the same one, when I came home from my trip, I was happy as ever that this is the one that I own. I'll keep it forever, and will soon travel Europe with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good pack for the price Pretty good pack for the money. I have had mine for 3 years before getting an Osprey. It's taken a beating and held up really well. The shoulder/hip straps all adjust well and it distributes weight evenly. Ventilation could be better but it's still decent. You probably won't find a better pack in this price range. Access through the bottom and top of the bag make it easy to get to all of your gear. Only real complaint is that the straps on the bottom of the bag do not stay in place once you tighten them. If you have a rope, sleeping pad, etc... it may fall out once they loosen up. I wouldn't load it up with more than 25lbs of gear either. Overall it's a great pack for the price range. It has it's shortfalls but they are fairly nominal and functionally the bag does really well.
