I recently used Island Boost to fuel myself to the top of Mt. Whitney, 14,508 feet. I wouldn't have made it without it. The great thing about Island Boost is that you don't need to chase it with a drink. It has coconut water, is Ph balanced, and vegan. The passion fruit flavor is my absolute favorite! Lots of marathon runners are setting personal records on nothing but Island Boost. Also, the management of this company is awesome and super supportive of charity efforts. Thanks to REI for carrying this now. Go out and try it. If youre REI doesn't carry it yet, request it and they'll order you some.

I used to be queen of the bonk. My stomach just couldn't handle any food or traditional gels during a race. I was so desperate for a solution that I picked up Island Boost at the Rock and Roll Vegas race expo and used it the very next day as my sole source of fuel during the marathon. I didn't bonk and I didn't feel sick....and when I needed it most, my feet felt like they were on fire. No wonder I PR'd!!

This as an entirely different product and experience than Gu. It's absolutely worth your while to check it out.
