Comments about Chariot Carriers Cougar 1 Stroller / Trailer Chassis with Strolling Kit:

This stroller is one of the best buys I had in a long time. It is very expensive and you need to buy extra stuff for all the different conversions but it's all worth it. I had to buy the baby supporter and that made it so comfortable for our 8 month old baby. Our baby is fully covered from the sun but yet able to see from the tinted side windows. The design is great and we get several complements. The wheels turn great and feels like a durable stroller. All the other conversions, from the jogger to the bike trailer, are easy to attached. I am really impressed. My husband prefers to use this than our other stroller when he goes for his walk.

Comments about Chariot Carriers Cougar 1 Stroller / Trailer Chassis with Strolling Kit:

I bought my charriot in 2006, when my daughter was born as a means to take her with me on my bike. We only bought a car because of my daughter and were a one car family for nearly two years, so needless to say the Charriot was used daily for those first 20 months. Rather than driving around the neighborhood, we would go for a ride around the neighborhood.
When out and about this thing can be loaded to no end, I have packed the cargo top and the back storage compartment and then loaded the handle bars with grocery bags, at which point the chariot will tip backwards when unhooked from the bike, but its still completely doable. In a pinch I have fit my daughter, son (4 and 6 months at the time) and 30lb dog all into Chariot after my dog and daughter pooped out on a ride back from the river (It was 7 miles after riding there and swiming for hours). More recently I've fit my daughter and son in at ages 6 and 2.
I like how easy it is to switch back and forth between configurations, I can ride to the store switch the hitch for the jogger wheel and take it into the store and go shopping all wile leaving my son sleeping. Now with the stroller wheels already as part of the set up, I only see it getting easier to take anywhere.
My only issues that I've ever had are with the jogger brake which is useless on a hill and has a brake button to keep the brake engaged when you let go. This would be a nice touch except for the fact that it doesnt work at all, I had to buy a nicer brake lever and have it installed. After 3 1/2 years of all weather use, the back wheels became stuck, but the folks at REI's bike shop greased them up and got them unstuck. Also on a hot day I left my chariot outside a shop connected to my bike. The glue that holds the velcro to the frame and in turn holds the cloth outside of the chariot in place melted and now one side of the chariot is a little saggy and the cover that goes over the top doesnt fit so well. Attempts to reglue it have been unsuccessful. To allow you to gauge the heat though, the bike helmets left in the chariot on the same occasion melted too, so I cant complain too much.

The reality is I can't complain at all, I have drug or pushed this thing hundreds of miles in all sorts of weather. Its faded, scuffed and not so prime looking anymore but still completely functional. I doubt any other product would have performed any better. As long as you actually plan on using it, a Chariot is worth every cent and then some (not so much if its just going to be a garage orniment, get a Burly- not so agregious on the pocket book and still a good trailer).

Comments about Chariot Carriers Cougar 1 Stroller / Trailer Chassis with Strolling Kit:

We bought the Cougar1 carrier on 2005 for our 1st girl, now back in use for our 5 month baby (3rd one), during the years we've added the strolling kit, the Jogging kit (we call it Cross Country kit), the cycling kit, Cargo rack ,Rain cover, and baby supporter.
Best child-buy we ever had ; we use it on air travels, Urban use (Berlin, Amsterdam, Istanbul, Copenhagen), Hiking in all terrains (and I mean allll! - snow, mud, water, bush anywhere!).
its light enough, its well protected (bug net, rain cover). I think new models have been even improved (back storage bag got bigger).
some problems with the sealing of the chassis at the front while raining, rubber bands wear out during the years, clipstrips could be better.
The bottom line is:if you have any doubts - for almost 8 years of experience with it... Don't! buy it!
