Comments about MSR Alpine Kitchen Knife:
When I saw this knife at REI I immediately bought it. I like a cooking knife with a thin blade that is easy to keep sharp. We'll see how well the edge holds up, but it should be easy to keep sharp. The sheath needs something to keep it attached to the blade when you pack it. It can easily slip out on its own and if kept sharp (as it should be) could do some damage. YMMV

Comments about MSR Alpine Kitchen Knife:
Very sharp from the get go .
Razor like.
We'll have to see how the blade holds the edge.
It's not the most sturdy thing, but for thinly slicing foodstuff, it'll beat out any of the knives in my pack.
My major concern is that the sheath doesn't seat well to the knife.
